The sound of my alarm woke me up. Reluctantly opening my eyes, I rolled over to check the time. Eight o'clock.

I sat up groggily and combed my hair out of my face so that I could see properly. Angelina was sleeping with her sleeping bag somehow open and Charlotte was halfway out of hers.

Oh right, the sleepover! I smiled as I tingled with excitement from last night. It was always great to hang out with my friends!

"Guys, wake up, it's eight and you have to get home to get ready for class later," I said as I shook Angelina and Charlotte with one hand each.

Charlotte's eyes snapped open as she blurted out, "What's the time now?" while Angelina grunted.

"It's eight," I replied as I continued to shake Angelina. Finally her eyes opened.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom to wash up," Charlotte said, holding her comb and toothbrush. I nodded.

"I'll go with you. Angelina remember to get to soon if not you'll be late," I called out to her as we headed to the bathroom.

After we washed up and changed, we went into the kitchen for breakfast. The smell of toast and bacon made my mouth water and I took a plate from the counter.

"Good morning, Mrs Hills," I said as I greeted her. Angelina then did the same.

"Morning mom," Holly said. Grabbing a plate, I took a pair of tongs and placed some bacon, two pieces of toast and a spoonful of jam on it.

"Nice buffet like design layout, Mrs Hills," Angelina said jokingly. Mrs Hills gave a chuckle in response.

We ate in silence for a while, before a rather grumpy Heather walked in, taking herself some food before plopping down onto a seat beside Holly.

"Morning mom," she grunted.

"Good morning dear. Girls, you're going home before class, right?" Mrs Hills asked, looking at Angelina and I. We nodded.

"We'll go pack after breakfast," I replied.

"All we have to bring is our stationery, homework and the extra worksheet, right?" Holly asked.

"Yea, there's not much to bring actually," I said.

"I'm just going to bring a tote bag, I guess."

"We'll see you later, Holly!" I exclaimed, as Angelina and I stepped out of the Hills' house's gate.

"You're going back home by yourself?" I asked as Angelina and I headed out.

"Yea, my house is a few blocks down,"

"Alright, then. I'll see you later. Bye," with that, we parted ways.

"Oh Charlotte, it's you, sweetie. Did you have fun last night?" Mom greeted me as she took my overnight bag.

"Yea, I had a great time with my friends!" I exclaimed, giving her a hug.

"That's very nice, Greg's upstairs sleeping, can you wake him up, it's almost nine and you kids have to go soon,"
