*Kane's POV*

I jumped out of my truck, in too much of a hurry to put it in the garage. I fumbled with my keys, swinging the front door wide open. It was silent as I entered and closed the door behind me. That made my heart stop for a moment. The keys to the other car are on the peg so she's gotta be here.

My team had agreed to letting Sawyer and I decide when we told my fans that she was pregnant. We had been thankful for that, but it was February now and Sawyer's bump had begun to show. She was able to continue modeling as they were careful how they positioned her and used clothes to hide the bump. The issue came when paparazzi captured pictures of Sawyer and mistook the slight weight and figure changes as a weight issue.

My manager had angrily brought in stacks of magazines, almost all of them showing Sawyer and I walking around town the past weekend. We had been doing some shopping in Atlanta. All of the pictures showed Sawyer from various angles and almost all of them showed her eating. I thumbed through the stack, horrified.

Online, the articles had been even more vicious as people commented their harsh criticism. She had stopped posting on Instagram and her other social media platforms after people began criticizing her weight, or they'd accuse her of using Photoshop on her modeling photos. The media publishing articles like this only made the comments overflow. What made me rush home wasn't just that Sawyer could see the comments and articles online, but she was going to the grocery store today while I went to work and was bound to see the articles.

I looked in the kitchen, seeing grocery bags on the island along with a small stack of magazines like the ones my manager had shown me at the studio, an untouched sandwich on the plate beside them. I was allowed to leave the studio, rushing home to my wife. I raced up the stairs, taking them two at a time. Our door was cracked partially open and creaked as I opened it, walking in. Sawyer was sitting on the floor beside our bed, face full of tears as she looked up at me while wearing one of my hoodies. Her phone was discarded on the floor, open to the comments that rolled in.

Seeing her on the floor broke my heart and put me over the edge. I grabbed my laptop, placing it on the bed and pulling up my Facebook and started a live camera feed. I kneeled down by Sawyer, scooping her up easily and sitting in the middle of our bed, positioning her in my lap. She buried her face deep into my neck, afraid to look at the laptop screen that was broadcasting live. Already, fans poured in to see what was going on and commenting. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her while looking at the screen.

"Sawyer, can you, please, turn 'round an' look at the screen?" I asked

"No." She said and began sobbing

I rocked us and my fan's comments turned to asking about what was going on.

"Why not?" I asked, already knowing the answer

"They're gonna call me fat." Sawyer cried and I swallowed hard.

I looked at the screen where several comments had begun to roll in about Sawyer's weight gain. Some comments were trying to be positive while others were less positive and made me angry. I continued to rub her back and kissed her forehead. My fans needed to see this and they needed to know what was going on, even if it meant letting our little secret out.

I began tugging up on my hoodie, pulling it off of her with very little of a fight. She was took upset to fight back. The comment section began updating faster than I could read. I turned her in my lap, so the camera got a good side view of her. I wrapped an arm around her waist and pushed her loose hair away from her face with my other hand. I pecked her on the lips and moved my hand from her face to her little bump, resting my hand there with a smile. I looked at the live feed as Sawyer leaned her head against my shoulder.

"There's a difference between fat and pregnant, baby." I said

"All I do anymore is eat." Sawyer whimpered.

"That's because you're eatin' for two." I kissed her cheek, "I can lose the six-pack if it'll help." I said, making her laugh.

"To the media an' those of you callin' my pregnant wife fat, y'all need to stop. I think she's beautiful. She was beautiful when I met her, she topped it by becoming gorgeous when she married me, an' now that we're expecting, I can't keep my eyes or hands off of her. She tops gorgeous." I said

"Do you really think so?" Sawyer asked, peeking up at me.

"I do." I kissed the tip of her nose, "An' I don't think it's good for you to skip lunch all 'cause of some comments. I got two announcements for my fans, so why don't you head downstairs an' I'll meet you down there for lunch?" I said

Nodding, Sawyer slid off my lap and stood up. Before disappearing out of our room, she leaned over and kissed me. As she turned to walk away, I reached out, smacking her butt and receiving a small scream followed by her yelling my name and glaring as she walked out of the room, leaving me laughing at the cute blush that crossed her face. I turned to the camera, more serious now.

"So yeah, we're havin' a baby. An' I'm real excited to be a dad. But gettin' serious now. This is to all my fans. If you really do care about me as much as you say then you wouldn't be callin' my wife fat. She's pregnant an' I'm proud. Please dont take this happy moment away from me. Readin' your messages broke my heart an' I came home to find my wife wouldn't eat anything 'cause of your comments." I said, feeling a lump in the back of my throat.

The tears stung my eye and I bit my lip to hold them back, whispering, "That really broke my heart."

I wiped my eyes, "An' now to the media that are watchin'. Lay off my wife. She's growin' my kid, I don't think you can say that. I know you can't say that. If you wanna report on somethin' then report on how you influenced people into makin' my pregnant wife insecure about her own body and baby. My baby. Now I'm gonna go eat lunch with the most beautiful woman in the world." I said, ending the live feed coverage.

I looked up to see Sawyer in the doorway, tears in her eyes while holding a plate with two sandwiches. I put the laptop to the side and she came in, putting down the plate on the night stand and crashing into me with a large hug. I wrapped my arms around her and leaned back on the bed, holding her close.

My beautiful wife.
