Gwen's P.O.V
Right before we arrived I was looking out the window and see a blob of darkness
What on earth we're the Death Eaters doing here, did they really think Harry would come back to Hogwarts?
The entered and passed by my compartment and nodded their heads towards us
Just then I looked out to see Nevielle stand up and say
"Hey losers, he isn't here"
I still can't believe this was the same boy who was scared of everything
He really has changed, we made eye contact and I smiled slowly at him to which he hesitated but returned a smile back
That really meant a lot and soon after I closed our doors
We entered and it was chaos, everything was disgusting
Snape gave us a whole different speech, I couldn't look at him anymore
He was like a second father to me and then all of his actions had ruined it for me
But I couldn't help myself, I glanced up once and saw him looking at me
Chloe grabbed my hand and assured me it was going to me alright
Soon enough it was time to head back into the common rooms
It felt kind of lonely honestly, I know there was everyone around me but nothing was the same anymore
Chloe and I walked into the common room and I heard someone say my name from the middle of the room
"Gwen?"
I turn around and see it's Blaise
"Blaise!" I said running into his arms to give him a big hug
"I missed your annoying presence you know, it was kind of lonely without you honestly" He said hugging me back tightly
I chuckled and said, "Same goes for you, what have you been up to?" I asked letting go and sitting in my usual spot with them
He tells me about his summer and his trip with his mum and her "new boyfriend" and how excruciatingly painful it was being there
We all laughed about it and made a lot more jokes over our summers
Alas however we all had gotten tired and decided to go to bed
We bid our goodnights and went up to our perspective rooms
I changed into my pajamas and laid down on my bed
I looked up at my ceiling playing with Draco's necklace in my hand
It then hit me, the necklace he gave me wasn't warm anymore, in fact it was ice cold as if I had just gotten back inside from being out in the cold
I sat up on my bed and started fumbling with it, why was it this cold, it had always been warm ever since he put it on me?
I felt myself start to cry
He'd taken off his ring, that's why I couldn't feel it
It happened to suddenly that I never even realized
