Chapter 5

Gwen's P.O.V

I had gotten very close with the twins recently and was hanging around them along with Chloe and Pansy. Malfoy was trying to get to talk to me a lot more but I ignored his every move, he's a fucking idiot. I had almost every class with Malfoy except for muggle studies. It was a week away from Christmas break and I just couldn't wait to head back home. I see Danny everyday considering we're always sitting with Gryffindor's. I had gotten along with Hermione really well, we study a lot together. Ron on the other hand doesn't talk to me much but when he does he's always stuttering. I had woken up to Pansy screaming at me to get up like she does every morning. "Gwendolyn Smith, wake up this instance how much sleep do you need?" I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "A lot of sleep it makes me feel better" I smiled at her, "Hurry up Gwen it's 7 and classes start at 8 maybe you could make it to breakfast today if you get ready now" Chloe said to me packing her books, "Fine I'll go to breakfast today" Usually I skip breakfast and go straight to my class just to be early.

I got up and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Once I came out I put on some black skinny leggings with my tank top and cardigan and then put on my robes over it.

As I was finishing up doing my hair I heard a pecking on my window.

I looked over and saw my mums' owl standing on the ledge; I opened the window and held my arm out for the owl to get on it.

It got inside and shook all the snow off on my table

"Great, thanks for the mess Cassie" I said laughing, I took the letter off her leg and she stood on my bed probably to get warm

I opened up the letter and saw it was from my mum,

"Gwendolyn dear I'm sending this early just so you know, this Christmas we won't be spending it at home, instead we had gotten invited to spend it with the Malfoys so please make sure you packed up and there will be obligations. Tell Danny as well and make sure he's packed too and Lucius had also sent a letter out to Draco as well.

I stood there shocked and with my mouth wide open. What the actual fuck, I don't want to stay there, I don't even want to be in Malfoys' presence on top of it all she wants me to tell Danny, I haven't spoken to him in months and I'm pretty sure he still doesn't want to talk.

I sighed in frustration but took the letter with me to the Great Hall.

As I entered I saw the Wesley twins, with the golden trio and my brother. As I entered I looked over to the Slytherin table and saw Pansy, Chloe, Blaise, and Malfoy. I felt someone stare at me so when I turned around I realized Malfoy was looking at me, he looked down at my hand and saw the letter then looked back up at me and smirked.

I growled under my breath and continued walking towards the Gryffindor table. I didn't bother sitting down. As I had told Chloe I'd sit with her today.

"Good morning Gwen, I see you're finally awake to come down for breakfast" Hermione said. I laughed "Only because people woke me up earlier than I normally would've liked, and also for this" I handed Danny the letter and he raised his eyebrow at me, "Mum sent it this morning and it's important" he took it and started reading it, I felt someone's' eyes burn a hole at the back of my head again and turned around to see Malfoy looking at me with and intense look as he did with Danny. I turned back to see Danny still reading, he finished and sighed like I did in frustration, "I don't want to go either but she said no obligations so you know we can't even argue back" I said taking the letter from him. "Is it for the entire break Gwen?" he said taking a bite from the apple, "Yup" I said popping the 'p' "Mum also said not to mention it to anyone either" I replied "Alright I'll meet you before we get off okay" I nodded and walked back to the Slytherin table.
