Chapter 2

Draco's P.O.V

I saw this new girl sitting where I usually sit, I sit alone to get away from Pansy she gets so annoying. There was just something about her that made me want to talk to her already. Oh come on Draco what are you thinking? She's just like everyone else. As I walked in I saw the two twin idiots and told them to get out & the only way they'd leave is if the girl would give them a kiss on the cheek, when she did I got sort of angry but why? Why am I feeling like this, am I sick? I shrugged it off and told her to move from my seat when she denied something took over me and I just let her sit there and made up a lame excuse as I sat in front of her. I had asked what her name was and turns out she was the Gwen my mother had been going on and on about all summer, I thought she was gonna be like pansy but she wasn't, I couldn't help but stare at her, she caught me and I had to play it off so I just smirked and replied telling it was nothing, and she just glared at me. Damn we were on last name basis, but I did glare back. I saw her fall asleep so I decided I'd wait for everyone to leave the train so I could escort her. I don't even know why I want to escort her I should just let her sleep and leave her alone once everyone gets off the train but I just couldn't

Gwen's P.O.V
I woke up to Malfoy tapping me. I fluttered my eyes open and realized we were the last ones left. I couldn't reach my bag so I tired jumping but I still couldn't reach it; I cursed at myself for being born short, I was only 5ft. I was pretty short compared to everyone else that was here. I heard Malfoy chuckle but then he brought down my bag he was really tall so I had to look up to him. As he gave me my bag our eyes met & all I could do is stare at those grey-blue eyes. He started leaning in but I took my bag and thanked him, I was looking away but I knew I was blushing. He "coughed" and walked past me before I could say another word. Damn it why is this git making me like this? I've heard stories about Malfoy, and how he plays every girl but he won't do that to me because unlike the other girls I'm not fucking stupid to go after him. Before he left he spoke up "Would you like me to escort you out to the Great Hall? Since you don't know your way yet?" I stared at this git, was he really being nice? "U-um sure I guess so, seeing I have no other option" he smirked again damn that smirk is just, stop thinking like this Gwen he's a git remember. We walked out of the train and started going toward these carriages, he helped me on first then sat next to me. The way there we were both silent. Once we arrived at Hogwarts he helped me down and when I looked up it was this beautiful building and it is HUGE. I just stood there but then Malfoy interrupted my thoughts. "Are you gonna come in or are you gonna wait for the trolls to get you?" I glared at him, I really thought he might a have a good heart for helping me but nope he was still the git. I followed him down a hall and then he opened the huge doors. The room was big and I followed Malfoy to where the new people were. "Wait here until they call your name to put you into a house then you can go to the table" I nodded in response. He bent down near my ear and whispered "By the way I know you'll be getting into Slytherin so just come the me find me at the end of the table once you're done" he got up and walked away. Why was I blushing again, I hated him. I saw the twins and called them over. "Listen Fred and George promise me even if I get into Slytherin we'll still be friends?" they hesitated a bit but then smiled "Of course not like you're one of those gits anyways even if you're in the house" they laughed & I forced a laugh out myself I was really tired. I hugged both of them and let them go back to their table. "Gwendolyn Smith!" I looked at the woman that was up there holding the sorting hat. I went up and sat down. Before she even put the hat on me the hat spoke "Ahh Gwendolyn Smith finally you're here, I was wondering where you were. You have much kindness to you and are loyal to your friends just like a Hufflepuff, I see you love to seek for knowledge and you're very bright like a Ravenclaw, ahh but here you're also very brave and again loyal, Gryffindor will suite you very well, but I see where your true home lies, you're very cunning and I'm sure you'll find this your home and get accepted by everyone, you'll also gain power, this house if for you, SLYTHERIN" People from the Slytherin table started to cheer really loud. I looked over the Gryffindor table and made eye contact with the golden trio and the Weasly twins and my brother. They all gave me a warm smile and I was grateful they didn't hate me because of my house. I sat at the end of the table away from Malfoy. Next the professor had called my brother up. "Danny Smith!" he smirked and sat on the stool. I gave him a warm smile. It was taking quiet a long while before the hat said anything a tall. Our parents are going to be really mad if he's not in this house with me especially dad, "GRYFFINDOR!" The hat yelled. Danny smiled and went back to where he was seated. We looked at each other and I gave him a smile, all he did was look at me emotionless and nod. I sighed and was just waiting for the headmaster to finish his speech so we can eat. "Hi, I'm Chole Gray and this is Pansy Parkinson" a girl sitting next to me said with another girl beside her. I smiled "I'm Gwen Smith, nice to meet you" I shook both of their hands and for the rest of dinner we all just talked about random things. They were both so nice to me epically since I'm new. I got stopped by professor Snape because he had to give me my times table and met Danny there. "Hey well job on getting into Gryffindor Dan" I said and he looked at me and said "Look we're both in our rival houses, so there's no need for us to be talking, we never got along anyways" with that he walked off leaving me there speechless. I turned back to Snape, thanked him and walked to the Slytherin common room. "Shit I never got the password" I sat next to the door hoping for someone to come by soon. Just then I heard footsteps and looked up to see a built guy. "Why are you out here?" he asked, "I never got the password to let me in" He shook his head "It's pureblood" I nodded "Thank you um, what's your name?" He nodded and simply replied "Blaise Zabini, nice to meet you, I can see you're new" He held out his hand to help me up and I gladly took it. "I'm Gwen nice to meet you" We entered the common room and my mouth flew open. It was so beautiful inside with the color scheme being silver and green. There were couches and a big armchair near a big green fire burning. I turned my head to see Blaise had sat down on the couch with Malfoy. Both looked at me before Blaise spoke. "Gwen why don't you sit down with us?" I shook my head "No thanks, I'm really tired and have to unpack, goodnight Blaise, Malfoy" With that I walked upstairs into the girls dorm. I saw Chloe in the room and smiled at her. "Pansy and Daphine are on the other side while you and I are on this one" She had taken the middle bed so I had the one all the way to the right. "That's fine thanks" I laid down on my bed not expecting it to be so comfortable and fell asleep with noticing.

Draco's P.O.V

I heard her name get called and immediately looked up, I don't know why I cared so much, but there's something about her. The old hat said some things to her that only she can hear, but soon ended up calling Slytherin. I smirked already knowing she'd end up here. They next called up her twin brother Danny I presumed. He eyed me across the hall and just glared at me. I looked at him in disgust and looked back at my food. After a long time the hat finally yelled out "GRYFFINDOR!" I knew their parents weren't going to be happy about that. Gwen smiled at him and all he did was nod his head emotionless. That git, I bet he thinks he's better than Gwen. After that Dumbledor gave his speech and we had a new DADA teacher, Umbridge, I knew at that moment she was going to make this year a living hell place. After we had finished dinner all the Perfects took us back to our common room and told us the password. I looked around but didn't see Gwen anywhere, pft I shouldn't care where she went. I didn't see Blaise anywhere either so I sat on the couch waiting for someone decent that I know to come into the room. I was broken form my thoughts when I heard the door open up to see Blaise and Gwen come inside. Blaise came next to me and sat down. "Gwen why don't you come sit down with us?" he offered and she headed towards the stairs up to the girls room, "No thanks, I'm really tired and have to unpack, goodnight Blaise, Malfoy" and she went in after that. "So what do you think about the new girl?" Blaise said laying back, "She's a feisty one, but that's how I like them" I said smirking. "Well I bet I can get her in bed before you can Malfoy" Blaise said laughing a little. I thought for a while, since the Slytherins always have a party the night after we come back I'm going to try and get her that night instead which was tomorrow. "I bet you I can get her in bed by tomorrow night" Blaise sat up and looked at me while smiling, "Well what does the winner get?" I asked, "Loser buys the winner butterbeer and gives them 10 galleons?" he said holding his hand out. "Oh it's fucking on" I said smirking while shaking his hand. No one can resist the Malfoy charm. I bet she's only on my mind because she's new here; maybe all I need to do is sleep with her right to get her off my mind? Right?
