Gwen's P.O.V

That night had finally arrived. The night they were going after Harry Potter.

The entire day I started to worry, I wanted to send him a letter telling him about the ambush but I knew better, I knew the Death Eaters were watching over the mails sent out.

Nightfall had finally arrived and I was sitting in my room with Danny until my father had came into the room

"It's all going to happen tonight" He said sitting besides us

We didn't say a word

"I know what you both are thinking, I don't want him to be found either you know" I looked up at him after that with beaming eyes

"I never wanted him to be caught. That Potter boy, he's truly remarkable and the only way we'll ever be saved. Protecting my family comes before anything else"

We hugged him and hoped for the best

"Do we have to go with them?" I asked lowly

"Fortunately no. This mission requires the most skilled to be sent out to have a higher chance of capturing him"

I nodded and then said "Is Severus going with them?"

My father stayed quiet and I knew what it meant. I was so confused, but a part of me knew he could never hurt Harry. Soon after everyone was ready to go and they all left, I sat here looking out my window hoping for the best. Until there was a knock at my door

I got up and opened it and saw it was Draco "Hi" he said coming in

He sat on the chair in the corner of my room and I sat down on my bed

I looked at him finding that odd so I stared at his face, he seemed out of it again, dark circles under his eyes and very thin.

Draco way taller than me, at least a foot, but he seemed to shrivel up when he was like this

I walked over to him and held his face in my hands

"What's wrong love?" He looked straight into my eyes and I saw tears building up

I kissed his cheeks, "Gwen, it was chaos in my home. They're so sure they'll get him, I couldn't get any rest over there, I don't want Potter to be caught" he said breaking down

"I know my love, it's okay now I'm here and he won't be caught I promise, I believe in him come Draco got get some rest" I said holding his hand for him to get up

He laid on my bed and I covered him with the blanket and sat on my window going back to look at the stars

I hadn't realized how I had fallen asleep myself but woke up to so much commotion going on downstairs

I jolted awake and went to wake up Draco, he woke up and you can see how clearly he looked worried

"Let's go" I said softly

We walked down the stairs to see everything up in chaos with everyone yelling

"What's going on?" I asked Danny who was already down here

"They missed Harry, he got away" Danny said with a breath of relief

I felt like I Could finally breathe again
