Gwen's P.O.V
It was the night of the mission. I didn't know what exactly I should be doing so I sat on my dresser looking at the locket Severus had left for me
I still had it empty since I couldn't figure out what picture would be perfect to put inside
My mother had came into my room, I hadn't even noticed
"Are you okay dear?" She asked sitting next to me
"I don't know anymore, it's a lot to take in you know?" I said not bothering to look
"That's a beautiful necklace. It has a lot of meaning behind it" She said taking my hand in hers
"Is he going tonight too? Severus." I said
She nodded her head, "He doesn't have a choice dear, you'll figure that out soon. Your father will also be going with them"
I was scared now
"What if something happens to him? While at the ministry" I said shaking
"He won't be attending that. He'll be going with the rest of them to the Weasley's to capture Potter"
I looked at her completely shocked, why was he going?
"Draco is also required to go, that's why he hasn't come up here, he couldn't face you love" SHe said now getting off the dresser
"No, he can't. How- how could he? Who's making him go?" I said getting off too
"His aunt, we tried to protest since he's still young but she's not budging, you can still come downstairs to see him if you want"
With that she had left my room
I decided to take her option and follow suit
I saw Draco at the table looking down, I went behind him and hugged him
"You scared me half to death Gwen" he said shocked
"Sorry, just wanted to see you before you're off" I said sitting on his lap
"I'm sorry, I didn't have a choice in this, I won't do anything, sorry" he said nothing bothering to look me in the eyes
"It's okay my love, I know. Please just be safe okay. Come back to me in one piece. I love you" I said kissing him
He instantly kissed me back
We broke apart with the yelling going on in the house, people shouting how it was time
"Please be safe" I said kissing his cheek right before he left with my father
The night seemed to drag by
I was sitting in my living room playing some light music trying to keep myself distracted while eating some chocolate frogs
My mother and Danny was in here with me waiting for the signal when they took over the ministry
I was about to say something when all of a sudden a white/bluish light came out of nowhere almost scaring me
"The ministry has fallen. The minister of magic is dead"
With that it disappeared
I looked at my mum and saw a scared look on her face
"This is it. They've done it, the Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry of Magic. Now they're on their way to get Harry"
