Lady, Black Knight and I
I saddle up
Lady and ride
off to into desert
to blow off some
steam but without telling
the Deputy first.
"If you or anyone
needs me, saddle
up Black Knight
and he'll take you
to my whereabouts."
While riding
through the desert
and finding
solace in the air
and nature
around me,
I took a trip
down memory
lane of how I
obtained these
magnificent horses.
*It was my 6th birthday, and my parents told me to head towards the stables for my gift and so I did. I reached the barn and I immediately heard neighs coming from the stables. It sounded like there were two horses and not just one.
"I wonder if they're both for me," I said to no one in particular. I opened the stall of where the neighs were coming from and I saw two fawns huddled together.
"These two fawns are both for you sweetheart. One from me and one from your mother but they're inseparable just like your mom and I." My father said quietly. "But these horses aren't just regular horses. These two beauties can communicate telepathically between one another and to you if they chose to do so."
I stared at the fawns with tears of joy streaming down my face. I've always wanted a horse so I could travel when I was older and I got just that. "Thank you mommy and daddy!! I love y'all so much!!" My 6 year old self said to them.
I started talking to the horses to them and they told me their names were Lady and Black Knight. Since then, us 3 were inseparable.*
