Harriet felt she was invigorated;
the trip had opened up her eyes.
With the women she'd become integrated;
that proved to be quite a surprise.
It had been fun to do female things
with women of such diversity,
trying jewelry, necklaces and rings
and the things for Myna's nursery.
Of course, Ruechari leaving had been a shock
Bella and I were really mystified
until we returned and heard the talk,
a most well-loved old friend had died.
Pursuing her killer Billy was wounded too.
Rue had delivered them both back to town.
Why all the sudden violence, one couldn't tell,
Even the Sheriff was wounded and down.
A woman from the Liberty Belle was killed,
the Sheriff had killed the killer
and busier than I'd ever seen,
the jail was almost filled.
I had hoped to speak with Ronan
again about his brother Strop
but he was busy at the casino
and had no time to stop.
Harriet thought to herself,
the best thing she could do was making sure
that Myna had the right care for her
and if needed elsewhere in the townshe'd be ready.
Those poor girls in jail might need a sympathetic ear
orthat distraught Petra, the poor dear.
Maybe it was time to introduce her real self to the town,
to the folks she'd come to know.
She could still be who she was today,
on the trip she already began to show.
