The Death Toll Climbs
Buck and I took a quick respite in the jail
Both trying not to fret about 3Gun looking so pale
The last guy put in jail for being in cahoots
I had to laugh when I'd seen the hole in Buck's boots.
The Mayor came in looking shaken,
"Tell me he isn't dead!"
"I don't know what people have said
But no they are mistaken."
Mayor Order looked so relieved.
A small smile he managed to achieve.
"You're needed on the platform
Somethin' about the train.
A body showed up, stabbed.
Someone came to my office sayin'.
"I'll take care Mayor,"
Brody had stood.
"The Death toll climbs
this just isn't good."
Mayor Order left to visit his friend.
Happy it wasn't 3Gun's end.
"Buck, do me a favor and while
I'm out don't let anyone inside.
If it were my father shot I'd want revenge
But we can't let that happen.
Like it or not
Were all BG's got
Until 3Gun is on his feet again."
Buck nodded he understood
And sharpened his blades.
Now it was up to me to
Come to the conductor's aid.
"It's a woman," he tells me
"Stabbed in the back.
Her body was left
On the grassy side of the tracks."
He led me over to where the body lay
I pull back the tarp it was Talulah Grey.
"Oh hell No! Dirk got to her first."
