Fast forward my lame ass summer.

Oh, I'm sorry...

You wanted to see me say goodbye to my friends before leaving for college?

I know, I know...you guys like your sappy goodbyes.

Fine.

Here it is:

"It was nice growing up with you guys...I'll sure miss you."

"I'll miss you dudes."

"Keep in touch, boys."

"F-f-f-eeel free to sell my autograph on eBay when I get famous in college."

Happy?

I thought it would be fun to leave out who said what so you can guess, but my stupid speech impediment ruined that.

Ok, back to the show:

It's go time!

In case you forgot, which I don't know why you would since that's kind of what this whole story is about, I AM LEAVING FOR COLLEGE!!!

But like, I am leaving today.

Today!

I am so stoked.

No more Long Island.

No more annoying beach town out east.

No more stutter....

I thought this day would never come! All those years of being the senior citizen of speech therapy with a bunch of little kids, it will finally be outta here!

Also, I allotted a lot of time to religiously reading all of the books Ed gifted to me and I think I've got a lot of this down now! I'm practically a dual citizen at this point.

"RONY! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE! WE AREN'T PACKING UP THIS CAR WITHOUT YOUR HELP!" Melle calls up to me.

Ughhh.....

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to leave for college.

But I am also really comfortable in my bed right now.

And going downstairs to the car means I have to get up.

And that deserves an ughh....

Ughhh......

"ON MY WAY!" I yell back.

"Rony, Rony, Rony..My only son...what will I do without you. With these women.." Dad cries, reaching out to hug me.

"Hey!" Melle puts her hands on her hips.

"You weren't this emotional about me!"

"I'm his b-b-b-oy." I smirk at Melle as I hug Dad.

He's super emotional.

It'll get worse.

You'll see.

"Oh, please! T minus four years and you will be right back in this house just like Melle!" Mom laughs.

"Excuse me!" Melle protests.

"Yeah, but Melle was a psych major." I point out.

"EXCUSE ME!"

"Alright, alright,..Let's get going, Glenn. It hurts less to pull of the bandage quickly, you know."

"Ok....Get in the car, Macaroni." Dad sniffles.

You know that I like my long car ride naps.

And no, it is not just to avoid writing about this car ride, I really am a napper!
