Locked Out

Slowly sliding down the cold wood, Lisa leaned back against the front door. Her keys were nowhere to be found as was her family. Groaning, she remembered that her stepfather and mother went back to Thailand for a vacation and wouldn't be back for a week or two. Her keys were also inside on the rack by the door. Rubbing her face, Lisa pondered what to do. She could get a hotel room but she was saving up to buy her mom and stepfather matching rings for Christmas.

Maybe she could stay with a friend? But who? Rosie and Jennie were painting their house again, so they were out of the question. Bambam was damn near impossible to tolerate on weekends and on Friday night, Lisa was sure he would be hitting the bars and clubs hard.

One person's face lingered at the back of her mind. Jisoo. The raven-haired girl lived alone in a two-bedroom apartment not far from here. Maybe she could stay until her parents got back or Bambam was over his soul-crushing hangover to lend her his key.

Rising to her feet, Lisa dialed Jisoo's number before putting the phone to her ear, hoping like hell the woman could put her up for the night. "Hello," a sweet voice on the other end answered. "Lisa?"

"Hey, Jisoo! So. Funny story, I'm locked out of my house and won't be able to get inside until Tuesday, probably."

"What happened?" Jisoo's concerned voice made the Thai woman smile. She may have had a small crush on the beautiful Korean girl, but she knew better than to act on it.

"My parents are on vacation in Thailand and I forgot my keys when I left this morning. They locked up the house after I left and they gave the spare to Bambam in case of emergency."

"And he would be at a bar by now, wouldn't he?"

"Yep. And until he's past the bargaining with God phase of his hangover, I don't think asking him to let me in would prove useful. Is there any chance I could stay with you over the weekend?" Lisa bit her lip and crossed her fingers as she waited for Jisoo's response.

"Of course! Are you at your house? I can pick you up and we can get some dinner."

"I can walk to your apartment! You don't need to worry about it, you're already doing me a huge favor."

"I'll be there in ten minutes. On the way back we can get some food. How about that Japanese restaurant up the street?"

"...Okay. If you want to. I'm up for anything."

"Great!" Lisa could hear the smile in the older woman's voice. "I'll be there in a few."

At ten minutes later, Jisoo pulled up in her silver Kia. Running over, Lisa hooped in the passenger seat, smiling widely at the driver. "Thank you so much! I owe you big time!"

"Not at all. I'm happy to spend the weekend with you. You haven't stayed over in a long time. So, Japanese, right?" Nodding, Lisa sank back in her seat as the two chatted on the way to the restaurant.

Under the romantic lantern light, with soft traditional music in the background, the two had a cozy dinner, full of laughter and smiles. After they got back to Jisoo's apartment, the pair sat on the couch and watched horror movies for hours until both were too scared to be alone.

"I need to shower," Lisa told Jisoo. "And I don't want to be alone." Smirking, Jisoo leaned against the armrest of the couch.

"Need strong Chichu to protect you, huh? I can do that. Let's get you something to change into and we can take turns showering." The pair head into the master bedroom, fairy lights strung around the room, fuzzy pillows piled neatly on the bed, a small chair tucked in the corner with matching pillows in the seat.

Pulling out some nightclothes, the two slipped into the master bathroom. "You can go first," Jisoo told the younger girl as she sat on the counter. "I'll be right here to chase out any monsters or murders." Groaning, the Thai woman took off her belt and jewelry before stepping into the shower.  "Lisa? Are you going to wash you and your clothes? I have a washer you can use and clothes you can borrow."

A black shirt comes flying over the rod holding up the nearly transparent curtain with pink and purple flowers. Next came a pair of red pants, striped socks, a black bra and a matching pair of panties. "I'll get that stuff when I get out." Swinging her feet, Jisoo listened to her friend hum as she bathed herself, steam making her face flush.

Abruptly the water turned off as Lisa emerged from behind the curtain, a small grey-blue towel around her chest, long honey hair around her shoulders. "I tried to hurry so you would have hot water left." Thanking her, Jisoo slipped off the counter, lightly touching the younger's waist on the way by.

Stripping down, Jisoo got in the shower while Lisa blushed behind her, not waiting to get behind the curtain to start undressing. Once the two had showered and dressed, they moved back into the master bedroom where they tucked each other in under the covers.

Lisa turned to face Jisoo, a sleepy smile on her face. "Thank you again Chichu. Tonight was a lot of fun."

"Don't worry about it. I've missed you since school started back. I'm glad we have the weekend together."

"Goodnight Jisoo."

"Goodnight Lili." Leaning over, Jisoo planted a light kiss on Lisa's forehead before wrapping her arms around the taller girl. The younger woman snuggled into her crush, an adorable smile on her face as the pair drifted to sleep in each other's arms.
