"Please don't do this," Jisoo pleaded as Lisa stalked around their apartment, grabbing a bag off of their bed.
"I'm not giving you a choice," Lisa told her girlfriend in a harsh voice. "You promised time and time again, and I'm sick of it. We're doing this now!" Laying down an old picnic cloth on the bathroom floor, Lisa gestured for the older woman to stand on it.
"Are you sure we need to do this?" A stern look answered her as Lisa tapped her foot on the floor. Slowly padding over, the Korean woman stood on the old pink cloth, playing with the end of her shirt. Seeing the uncertainty in Jisoo's eyes, the tall girl's gaze softened.
"I'll be careful, I promise," she swore in a soothing croon. Jisoo nodded slowly, taking a breath and closing her eyes, surrendering to her tall girlfriend. Taking a brush, Lisa slid the bristles through the long, silky brown locks, gently removing the tangles. "Do you want me to tell you when I'm going to start?" Jisoo just shook her head, her eyes shut tight.
Pecking the woman's forehead, the younger girl picked up the object lying on the counter, carefully lining it up where she wanted it. The first snip sent vibrations up to the roots of the Korean woman's hair, making her wince at the feeling. Several more snips followed until Jisoo thought all of her hair was going to be gone.
"All done," Lisa said excitedly. "Are you ready to see," she asked her trembling girlfriend in a quieter voice. Nodding tentatively, the smaller girl turned towards the mirror with the assistance of the younger girl, slowly opening her eyes to see what Lisa had done.
Sucking in a sharp breath, Jisoo looked at her hair for the first time. The thick brown locks now hung around her shoulders, complementing her face well. Lisa smiled at her through the mirror, her fingers gently playing with the tendrils on the back of Jisoo's neck. "Do you like it?"
Smiling, Jisoo turned around, hugging the younger woman. "Yes! You did such a good job."
"Thank god. I was so worried you wouldn't like it!" Pulling away, Jisoo leaned on her tiptoes to kiss Lisa's nose.
"Even if I hated it, I couldn't be mad at you." Wrapping her arms around the younger's waist, the Korean woman gently swayed from side to side, laying her head on Lisa's collar bone.
"We match now," the blonde girl said. After a moment, Lisa pulled back, smoothing the hair falling in Jisoo's face. "Let's go show Rosie and Jennie! Go ahead and change and we'll head out. They're waiting for us at the Pour House."
"Isn't that across from the place Jennie threatened to have Jennie's Property tattoo on Kai's chest if he said he was single during an interview again?"
"Yep!" Carefully picking up the picnic cloth covered in hair, Lisa carried it to the kitchen, dumping the hair in the trash before tossing the worn pink cloth into the washer. By the time the blonde was changed into a baby blue long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and deep brown knee-high leather boots, Jisoo had slipped out of the bathroom, her now short hair slightly damp after a quick shower, a towel wrapped around her chest.
"I'll be ready soon," she called as she opened her closet, rifling through her clothes. After about twenty minutes, Jisoo came out dressed in a navy blue coat, a maroon shirt, a black shirt, and black Doc Martens.
Linking her arm through Lisa's, the two set off down the street, the crisp October wind whipping at their hair. Jisoo kept her head down, still a little self-conscious about her short locks going wild around her shoulders. "You look beautiful, don't worry about them," Lisa whispered in her ear as she squeezed the woman around her shoulders.
Nodding, Jisoo lifted her head and smiled at the blonde girl beaming at her. When they got to the Pour House, they were taken to Jennie and Rosé's table by a kind-looking older woman. They were greeted by loud squeals as their friends gushed over Jisoo's hair.
"So, Jennie," Lisa started as they looked over their menus. "Is Kai taking a trip to Nate's?" Rosé and Jisoo laughed as Jennie's face turned pink. Nate was the owner of the tattoo shop across the street and a good friend of the New Zealander.
"He's toeing the line." The four girls laughed, catching the attention of everyone in their section of the restaurant. "So, Jisoo, do you like your hair?"
"I love it," the oldest woman answered while looking at her girlfriend. "Thank you for making me do it Lili." Grinning, Lisa leaned over and kissed Jisoo's cheek.
"Of course Chichu."
