"Okay, let's go," Lisa pep talked herself. Pulling out the recipe she found, the tall woman got to work. Gathering all of her ingredients, she placed them on the counter and started reading what to do. Haphazardly chopping the vegetables, Lisa threw the chunks in a pot sitting on the stove. Jisoo's gonna be so proud of me, she thought to herself.
After double-checking the recipe, Lisa filled the pot with water and turned on the eye, leaving it to simmer. Taking the slab of meat sitting wrapped on the counter, the Thai woman awkwardly rinsed the cold, slightly frozen beef until it was soaked in water. Tossing it on the cutting board, she took a clever and started hacking away until several uneven sized hunks of bloody beef laid on and around the cutting board.
Tossing the meat into a skillet with too much olive oil, Lisa turns on her phone and starts blasting music as she pushes the browning lumps around before pouring everything into the pot, uncalled for olive oil and all. Adding a 'dash' of vinegar, packet seasoning, and baby carrots, Lisa danced around the messy kitchen, paying no attention to the boiling pot.

Jisoo stepped in the front door with a small smile on her face, to be greeted with the smell of vinegar, smoke, and loud singing.
Bottoms up, bottoms up
Pocket full of greenGirl, you know I love the way you shakin' it them jeansBottoms up, bottoms up Throw yo hands upBottoms up, bottoms up, bottoms up, up, up bottoms
Going to the kitchen, Jisoo quietly opened the door to reveal a hyped Lisa dancing like a madwoman, singing her heart out to 'Bottoms Up' by Trey Songz. Smiling widely, the Korean woman leaned against the door jam, just watching the Thai girl have fun.
Then I'ma go and get my Louisville Slugger
'Scuse me, I'm sorry, I'm really such a lady
I rep Young Money, you know, Slim, Baby?
And we be doin' donuts while we wave in the 380
We give a lot of money to the babies out in Haiti
Yellin' all around the world, do you hear me?
Do you like my body? Anna Nicki
Rest in peace to Anna Nicole Smith
Yes, my dear, you're so explosiveWhen Nicki's verse came on, Lisa rapped her heart out, having a blast, completely unaware of the girl standing behind her. "Are you doing 'Neighbor's Know My Name' next," Jisoo asked. Freezing, the Thai woman slowly turned around, her doll eyes wide as an owl's.
"J-jisoo, when did you get home," Lisa stuttered as she tried to casually lean against the table.
"A minute ago. What's going on," she asked as her eyes surveyed the destroyed kitchen. The empty beef package was still on the counter as well as the knives, cutting board, and stray vegetables. Lisa's mortified face fell even more as she realized the mess she left.
"I um, made dinner. Beef stew." The strong smell of vinegar made Jisoo's nose hurt as the brown broth started boiling over.
"That stew," she asked as she pointed to the pot. Running over, Lisa took the now wet pot off the eye, setting it down behind the glowing red eye.
"It was," she said in a small voice. Smiling softly, Jisoo wrapped her arms around Lisa, pulling her close, burying her face in her girlfriend's back.
"Let's clean up, shall we?" Together, the two threw away the abandoned veggies and the empty meat package, put all of the dishes in the dishwasher, and cleaned the counters. The stew wasn't salvageable so they dumped it and ordered pizza. As the last of the smoke cleared, the doorbell rang. Bounding to the door, Lisa paid for the food and carried the pizza and soda to the coffee table.
While eating, the couple watched Coraline while huddling together on the comfy couch. When the ending credits started rolling, the two lept from the couch, diving into bed, suddenly very aware of the little door in the basement.
"Lisa," Jisoo whispered. "Let's never go through the little door."
"Agreed." The two fell asleep in each other's arms, dreaming about the jumping mice.
