“Tomlinson,” someone in the class said when we were just having an open talk one day after the field trip. “What're you doing for Valentine's Day?”

“Celebrating with someone special, why?” He asked, trying hard not to smile. I smiled into my arm while laying my head on the desk.

“You just seem so happy lately,” the same student responded. “She must be lucky to have you.”

Louis shrugged. “It's uh,” he looked down for a second, then smiled to himself and looked back up. “I'm dating a guy, actually.” He glanced at me for half a second before smiling widely. “And I think I'm pretty lucky to have him.”

“He got pretty lucky too,” someone added, which made me smile. I did. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I'm glad that Louis was with me. “So, can we account for a turtleneck after?”

The whole class laughed and I turned red, pressing my face into my arms. No, I thought to myself. No way in hell.

Louis began to chuckle himself. The class quieted after the intercom buzzed. “Can we have Harry Styles to the office for a second?”

“Yeah,” Louis called, looking at me. I left my stuff and stood up, trying not to smile. “What did you do now?”

“Dunno,” I answered back with a shrug. I walked out of the room, stuffing my hands in my pockets as I went.

“Hi,” I greeted the pizza guy as soon as I got in the office with a smile. I took the pizza and handed the guy the money as the final bell of the day rang. With a quick nod I left the office, holding onto the box tightly as I weaved my way through the students.

When I got back to Louis’ room I paused outside the door when I heard him talking. “Your behavior is unacceptable.”

I furrowed my brow and moved to open the door, but paused when a female voice started talking. “Is it really? Or are you just trying to save your ass because I might be onto you?”

“If you think I’m having a relationship with a student, let's go talk to the principal right now. Everything can be settled there,” Louis said in a stern tone. I stopped breathing for a second.

“Just know that I'm onto you. I know that your relationship with Styles isn't what you're trying to make it seem. I'll catch either you or him slipping.” I moved away from the door then, hiding around the corner as the person left. When their footsteps faded away down the other end of the hallway I made my way in slowly, pausing when I saw Louis at his desk with his nose pinched between his fingers and a frown on his face.

I closed the door quietly and set the box down, walking over to him. “Boobear?” I asked softly.

He looked up and let his hand drop, trying to force a fake smile. I wrapped my arms around his neck, nuzzling my face into his neck. “It's okay, love.”

“I think I'm supposed to be saying that,” I said. “They won't figure it out, I'll be more careful, okay?”

Louis shook his head. “It's not just on you. Don't think this is all on you.” He pulled me into his lap and I kept my face in his neck. “I'm pretty sure Taylor’s just mad because she failed her last test.”

“She was talking the whole time you lectured last unit,” I mumbled. “Its her fault.”

“I know, baby. I know.” Louis kissed the side of my head. “Why'd you go to the office?”

“Got pizza.” I pulled back. Louis pulled me to him again and kissed me. “Lunch sucked and I figured it would be a pleasant surprise.”

Louis smiled. “Thank you, baby.” I smiled back and stood back up, pulling him with me. “You have homework?”
