Chapter 25: Thorns of a Rose
(A.K.A. It's not Amy vs. Sally, but it'll work)
Castle Acorn Entrance
Amy and Glare stared each other down, only the wind could be heard around them. Then, in an instant, the two charged each other, each with something to battle for.
Glare, for his revenge against the offspring of his former best friend and ex-wife.
Amy, to save her daughter, Sarah, and avenge her critically injured father.
Amy swung her hammer, but Glare dodged and kicked her in the face, causing the pink hedgehog to stumble back. She instantly charged back and landed a kick on Glare's back.
"Wait, I can spin dash. Why don't I do that?" Amy asked herself as she charged up a spin dash and hit Glare again.
"So you can roll in a ball, too?" Glare asked.
"I am a hedgehog, after all." Amy boasted, brushing a quill out of her eye.
Glare tripped and punched her.
"You're not much of a gentleman."
"I can be when I need to be."
The two ran to the bridge where Glare pushed Amy over the side and into the river. Lucky for Amy, it was only a 2 foot drop.
"Ugh, every time!" Amy complained.
"It adds drama." Glare said as he hopped into the river. He went to punch Amy, but she side stepped it. However, Amy tripped over a rock.
"Looks like I have you right where I want you." Glare grinned evilly.
Amy was covering her face in fear when she heard a "Damn!" for Glare.
"My foot is stuck!" He yelled.
Amy got up and summoned her hammer.
"Looks like I have YOU right were I want you." Amy mocked him as she hit him with her hammer, sending Glare flying into the fountain a few yards away. She got out of the river and approached him.
"This is for my parents!"
Amy wacked Glare.
"This is for my husband and daughter!"
She hit him again.
"And this is for me!"
Amy hit Glare with the Piko Piko Hammer for a 3rd time.
"Y-yes, Amelia! Finish me!" A bloody and dazed Glare demanded.
Amy pulled her hammer back, ready to deliver the finishing blow to Glare, but couldn't bring herself to do it. She dropped her hammer.
"I can't do it. I won't stoop to your level. I'm not a killer." Amy sighed.
"I knew you wouldn't be able to kill me." Glare pulled out a knife and threw it, cutting Amy in the back of her right leg.
"Ahh!" Amy called out in pain, falling and clutching her now bleeding wound.
Glare staggered up and picked up the Piko Piko Hammer.
"But I'm not weak enough. It's kind of funny that you're about to die by your own weapon." Glare raised the hammer in the air. "Good bye, Amelia. I'll see you in the Underwhere."
Amy closed her eyes, afraid that this was it. She would never see Sonic or Sarah again, as well as her parents and friends.
Then, a robot arm flew by and punched Glare, knocking him out cold.
Amy looked to see who her hero was and got a smile on her face.
"Bunnie!"
"Amy, ah you ok?" Bunnie asked, running over to the injured hedgehog.
"Besides a few bumps, bruises, and a bleeding leg that I'm sure I can't walk on, I'm fine." Amy smiled.
"Ah had a feeling that somethin' was gonna happen, so ah told Antione to watch the kids and ah followed y'all here, and it darn sure looks like ah saved yo life." Bunnie explained.
"You sure did. I don't know what to say but thank you." Amy told her, but winced in pain.
"We need to do somethin' bout yo leg there, sugar."
"Yea. Also, Nicole!"
Nicole appeared with Sarah in her arms.
"Amy, you beat him!"
"Well, yes and no, but three things. One, give me my child, please. Two, can you help me with my leg? And three, can you tell me anything about Sonic?"
"Of course, yes, and Sonic is currently running around the castle trying to escape." Nicole said, handing Amy Sarah, and began bandaging up Amy's wound.
"Lead him out, Nicole. Please?" Amy pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"Yes, I shall." Nicole left.
Sarah hugged up to her mother's chest.
"Oh, Sarah, Mommy promises to never leave you again." Amy cried, hugging her daughter.
"Y'all have a child?" Bunnie asked.
"Yep, this is Sarah Rose. There's a few things I didn't tell you, Bunnie."
