Chapter 28: Sighs of Relief
(A.K.A. A warm feeling chapter before the last one)
Station Square Hospital
Sonic, Amy, and Sarah arrived at the Hospital.
Sonic went to the desk.
"Do you know what room Robert Rose is in?"
A female raven wearing a white coat turned around.
"Are you family?" She asked.
"Yes, ma'am, I'm his son-in-law, this is his daughter, and that's his granddaughter."
"Oh, ok. He's in room 210."
"Thank you." Amy said as she began limping to the room.
Room 210
"Mom!" Amy limped to Amanda and hugged her.
"Amy, you're ok!" Amanda cried.
"Of course, but please tell me Dad's ok."
"I'm fine, sweetie."
"Daddy!" Amy exclaimed in joy, hugging him.
"It's been forever since you called me that. Don't cry, Amy. Remember what I used to tell you, a pretty girl like you shouldn't cry." Robert said, stroking his daughter's head.
"I just don't want to lose you!"
Sonic walked in with Sarah, as well as a black falcon walking in.
"Amy, your husband says I should look at the back of your right leg." The doctor said.
Amy looked at her wound.
"Uh, yeah, you probably should." Amy smiled.
"What happened?" Amanda asked.
"Glare."
"So you know."
"Yes, he told me quite a bit. We fought. I could of killed him, but I didn't. Then, he was about to kill me, but a old friend of mine and Sonic's saved my life. He's going to be locked up. He'll never hurt us again." Amy said as the falcon doctor examined Amy's injury.
"It's quite a cut, Amy. You'll need a few stitches, and you'll be limping for a few days, but you'll be fine."
"Thanks, doctor."
"Mama."
"Sarah?" Amy looked up.
"Ma... Mama." Sarah said.
"Amy, her first words." Sonic said, handing Amy Sarah.
"Yes, Mommy's here, baby." Amy said to her.
"Mama, Dada." Sarah squeaked out.
"I'm here, Sarah." Sonic said.
"I hate to interrupt this wonderful moment, but Mr. Rose, I am glad to inform you that you've recovered quicker than expected. You will be able to leave in two days, but it is recommend that you take it easy for a little while.
"That's great!" Amanda exclaimed.
"Yep, thanks, doc!" Robert gave a thumbs-up, followed by everyone laughing, as well as Sarah giggling.
It seemed that everything was beginning to get back to normal.
