Hey guys, I'm in a bit of pain today and am super tired! I had a bout of RLS - (Restless Leg Syndrome) Last night. I was up til around 5am. My legs kept aching, and I couldn't get out of bed to get a snack and ibuprofen.
I hope this chapter is alright... I planned on Thorin's One being in here, but it'll be in the next chapter, sadly 😔 my head is killing me and I need to lay down again. If I'm feeling better, I'll update again tonight.
Note 📝: I leave again for the doctors on August 10th. 😑! Right after my "30 days of healing" is up. - August 7th, my wedding anniversary.
Sorry for all the Updates on my health! - Surgery sucks and I have 2 more to go through!

Recap-

Suddenly, we heard a strange howl. One that sent shivers down my spine.
"Was that a wolf? Are there wolves out there?" Bilbo asked.
"Wolves? No. That is not a wolf." Bofur replied fearfully.
Growling was heard right behind us.
"Kili! Get your bow! Theia, use your powers!" Thorin ordered.
I helped Adad finish off a Warg.
"I have a feeling that we'll need my powers later." I replied gravely.
"Warg scouts. Which means an Orc pack is not far behind."
"Orc pack?" Bilbo asked.
"Yes, a pack, Bilbo."
"Who did you tell of your quest beyond your kin?" Gandalf demanded.
"No one." Thorin replied.
"Who did you tell!?"
"No one, I swear!"
I stood in-between the two.
"Gandalf, they have been hunting us for days. I heard them on the opposite cliff!" I intervened.
"What in Durin's name is going on?" Thorin questioned.
"Exactly what Theia just said. Your being hunted."
"We have to get out of here." Dwalin said, urgently.
"We cant. We have no ponies they bolted." Ori shouted, Bifur beside him.
"So we run for it!" I stated the obvious.
"I'll draw them off." Radagast said suddenly.
'I like this wizard.'
"These are Gundabad Wargs. They will outrun you." Gandalf attempted to talk sense into him.
"These are Rhosgobel rabbits. I'd like to see them try." Radagast replied.

So, the game of Cat and Mouse began.

With Radagast leading the Orc Pack away from our trail, we quickly set out running and hiding behind rocks when they got too close. I was behind the group in case my powers were needed. I knew not where Gandalf was leading us, but I vaguely recognized this field. My mind just could not bring up where we were. We were spread out thin. Too thin. They could easily spot us. And it frightened me.

"Stay together." Gandalf ordered quietly.
At some point during our cat and mouse game the Dwarves ended up passing me towards the front, between Dwalin and Thorin.
We nearly got caught when Ori accidentally bolted out from behind a rock. Thorin quickly spotted him and pulled the scribe back by his shirt. "Ori, no! Get back."
"Quickly, come. All of you." Gandalf grabbed my jacket. Whispering in my ear "protect them." Before he pushed me forward to re-join the company.
That, confused and worried me.
'Where was he going?' I thought.
I vaguely heard Adad question Gandalf "where are you leading us?"
I heard no reply.
'Strange.'

Soon, Radagast was out of sight. He had done his part in distracting them.
Which, caused the Wargs and Orcs to search for their real target. Us.
We were once again forced to hide behind another large rock...though this time we weren't so lucky. The Wargs and Orcs smelt us out. Kili shot two arrows but it didn't kill them. It did however bring the two down to our level where we could finish them off. But not before they let out a piercing noise to alert the others.

Gandalf looked into the distance, alarmed. "Move! Run!"
"There they are!" Gloin shouted.
"Theia, use your powers!" Dwalin yelled.
"Not yet, Dwalin." I replied fearfully.
"Then when, lass - when were dead!?"
"Patience master Dwarf." I spoke, irritated.
"This way! Quickly!" Gandalf ordered once again.
"There's more coming!" Kili yelled.
"Kili, shoot them!" Thorin yelled.
I spotted Gandalf run towards a rock out of the corner of my eye.

"We're surrounded!" Fili spoke.
"Would now be a good time to use your powers!?" Thorin questioned me.
I raised my hands, and concentrated on the trees. Willing them to do what I wanted. Opening my eyes, sensing the Wargs come closer I flicked them away with a tree. It sent them flying. Yelping in surprise. Others attempted to come, I kept flicking them away with the trees, or tripping them with their roots.
"Where's Gandalf!?" Dori asked.
"He's abandoned us." Was Dwalin's reply.
"No, he hasn't you stubborn Dwarves." I stated, irritated.
Ori used his slingshot on a Orc, I threw my dagger at his throat, making him fall off the Warg.
"Hold your ground!" Adad ordered.

Just as we were about to get over-run, Gandalf popped up from the rock I saw him run to.
"This way you fools!" He yelled.
I smiled, 'perfect timing Gandalf...'
Thorin and the others booked it towards the rocks where he was last seen. I once again held the back of the line, next to Thorin.
"Quickly, all of you!"
One by one they slid down into the hidden tunnel.
"Go, go, go!" Thorin ordered.
The Wargs were advancing, both of us cut them down as they got closer.
"Kili, come on!" I yelled to my cousin.
"Theia, go on!"
"You first. I have powers you have a sword!"
Thorin grumbled but slid down the hole.
In the far distance I saw horses before I slid down after him.
"You stubborn girl. You could've gotten yourself killed!" Thorin scolded.
"Thats true. But any of us could have gotten killed." I replied.

A horn sounded. I had heard that sound before. My eyes widened. 'The scouts from Rivendell.'
And sure enough, my thoughts were true when an orc fell into our tunnel with an Elven arrow stuck into it's throat. Adad pulled the arrow out and examined it.
"Elves." He spat.
I scowled at him. "Don't forget that your One is part Elf. Thorin."
He looked at me, "that's different. She did nothing wrong." Thorin responded.
"I cannot see where the pathway leads. Do we follow it or no?" Dwalin asked.
"Well, it's not like we can go back." I responded.
"Follow it, of course!" Bofur spoke, excited.
"I think that would be wise...don't you, Theia?"
I rose an eyebrow, confused.

The further we walked, the thinner the pathway got I honestly felt bad for Bombur.
Though, it only took around half an hour to get to our destination and I could not believe where we were.
I glanced up at Gandalf, with grateful eyes.
I'd get to see my mother.
Adad would get to see my mother. My eyes widened at that thought.

"The Valley of Imladris." Gandalf spoke.
"In the common tongue, it's known by another name."
"Rivendell..." Thorin spoke calmly.
Many looked to him, shocked that he'd speak of an Elven Kingdom.
"Yes, here lies the Last Homely House East of the Sea." Gandalf continued.
"This was your plan all along. To reunite me with my One. You know I don't want Amara to join this quest." Thorin spoke sternly.
"Who says Amara will join your Quest? She herself told your daughter and I that this quest "wasn't for her." You have nothing to worry about, Thorin Oakenshield."
"I'm still not convinced. Another thing, the Elves will not give our quest a blessing. They will try to stop us. You and I both know this." Thorin replied.
"Of course they will. But we have questions that need to be answered. If we are to be successful, this will need to be handled with tact. And respect. And no small degree of charm. Which is why you will leave the talking to me." Gandalf told Thorin.
With those words, Gandalf led us down to Rivendell. I behind Thorin.
My stomach was in knots. In all my years... I've never seen my mother and father together.
