Recap-
It was late in the evening on June 10th when the baby was born. She had brown hair and dark eyes. Her grandmothers eyes. The hair clearly was Thorin's. Amara suspected that it would darken with age. Her nose was small, ears slightly pointed though not as noticeable, and eyes the shapes of almonds. Like her mothers. Amara held the baby close, she knew that Dwarves often named their children after themselves so she decided on Theia Lyra Durin. (Thee-ah) Yes, she knew Thorin was a Durin. They courted how could she not? She gave her and Thorin's child her own middle name, and named her mainly after Thorin. Her beloved.Amara learned quickly that Theia had gained her powers, those of nature - she was an elemental.
It also gained her attention that they couldn't stay in Bree, they were drawing too much attention to themselves. So, Amara packed up their things and headed out for her first home. Rivendell. She knew she'd always be welcomed their and Theia too. And if Thorin and her were truly meant to be, love would find its way.
But, for now she had to put her child first. She had to teach her how to control her powers and give her the freedom to be herself. Rivendell could provide that. Bree? Could not.~*~*~*~*~*~

Six years had gone by. Theia had made great friends with Lord Elrond's Children one of whom loved to dress her up as a fairy princess. Flowers and all. Her mother, Amara thought it was adorable. Theia... Not so much. She was a tom-boy like her mom. Not a fairy princess like Arwen insisted on her being. By now, she had learned - though not mastered some of her Elemental gifts such as water, wind, and earth. Amara insisted that fire was too dangerous for a six year old. Which she grudgingly accepted. Gandalf would stop by from time to time, he was surprised to discover that Amara 'had a little one.'
Amara was right about her daughters hair darkening with age. Every two years or so it seemed to get darker. And she also couldn't help but wonder - Was Thorin looking for her yet? Did he survive the battle?
She didn't have to wonder long, for one day Gandalf stopped by with news of the battle at Moria. Thorin's Grandfather had been killed, his father had gone missing, or had been killed also. And Thorin had cut off the killers hand. 'Surely the killer would want vengeance.' She thought.
And sure enough, Azog the killer of his grandfather declared that he would kill the line of Durin. That made her gut twist uncomfortably. She would have to keep an eye on Theia and have her trained in weapons when she grew.Another 12 years passed, and Amara deemed it safe for her daughter to learn weaponry.
Theia now being 18. Amara and Lord Elrond decided that it was best if she trained under his own sons, Elrohir and Elladan. She was excelling at it, too. Especially the swords and daggers. Unlike her mother, who excelled at the bow. 'She must get that from her father.' Her mom thought. They trained Theia long and hard, in her Elemental Powers - now she could learn fire, and everything her mom knew. And weaponry. For Gandalf had hinted to her mother that a great evil was stirring. And they didn't want her to be unprepared if she needed to fight. She was 55 years of age when Gandalf arrived in Rivendell with haste. She and Amara both knew something was wrong. They rushed to the gates.
_ Theia POV _
"Gandalf, my friend what seems to be the problem?" Amara asked.
"Come with me, quickly, both of you." He spoke.
I looked back at my mother confused.
She shrugged.
He led us to my room and shut the door.
"They're planning to take back Erebor." Gandalf spoke, getting straight to the point.
I stared at him. 'Who's planning on taking back Erebor? No one would be that crazy.' I thought, hearing the tales.
"Amara!" He yelled.
She must've been deep in thought, too.
She blinked. "Yes, Gandalf?"
"Thorin Oakenshield is taking back his homeland." He stated.
"Wait, Thorin... You mean my father?" I asked.
My mother nodded.
"I never got to tell him I was pregnant with you, as you well know..."
"Why did he change his last name?" I asked Gandalf."An oaken branch saved his life at the battle of Moria, he used it as a shield. He was weaponless." Gandalf explained.
"So my name is now Theia Lyra Oakenshield?" I questioned him.
"I suppose so." He answered. "But we have more pressing matters at hand. Will you, or won't you be joining Thorin on his quest?"
I looked to my mother with pleading eyes.
"Will you be going Gandalf?" She asked.
"Yes, I will be joining Thorin along with 13 Dwarves and a Hobbit.""Then take care of Theia, and tell Thorin I love him. This quest isn't for me, Gandalf. I can feel it. I will remain here. We've taught her all she needs to know. However, Thorin doesn't know she exists. I give you full permission to beat him with that staff of yours if he mistreats my little girl!"
Gandalf nodded. "I will look after her, I promise no harm shall befall upon your child, Amara."
I looked to my mom. "Your not coming?"
She shook her head. "No, but I'll be here when you return. Be strong. Thorin can be stubborn and pig-headed. Don't let him get to you." She spoke.
I nodded. "I won't, plus he's apart of me. Whether he likes it or not." I smirked.
"We'll leave at dawn. Pack your things." Gandalf ordered me."Theia, I want you to take this with you, it may knock some sense into his head if needed. But until then, keep it hidden under your shirt." Mom handed me her most prized possession, besides me.
"The ring he gave you? Are you certain?" I asked.
"Yes. I'm positive Theia. It will convince him that your his child. Or it should, at least." She spoke.
Mom helped me pack, as I had no clue what to do.
And by morning, farewells were said and we were soon past the gates of Imladris.
