Note 📝: I am determined to finish this story before I move on to another!
Yes, I have story ideas and covers made for the others but I'm determined d@mnit! 😋
Now, here's Part 2 I hope you enjoy! I would've updated last night but I began to hurt.
I also discovered something (the hard way, by fellow Tolkienites.) Galadriel never used "Sting" like I had been led to believe... So I have to twist that a little, because it's written in a former chapter that my OC recognizes it as "Galadriel's Blade." Sorry! I feel horrible.
🧝‍♀️
Once again, I own nothing meaning, none of the pictures belong to me, nor quotes or songs.
(Just a reminder.)

Recap-
"The Vally of Imladris." Gandalf spoke.
"In the common tongue, it's known by another name."
"Rivendell..." Thorin spoke calmly.
Many looked to him, shocked that he'd speak of an Elven Kingdom.
"Yes, here lies the Last Homely House East of the Sea." Gandalf continued.
"This was your plan all along. To reunite me with my One. You know I don't want Amara to join this quest." Thorin spoke sternly.
"Who says Amara will join your Quest? She herself told your daughter and I that this quest "wasn't for her." You have nothing to worry about, Thorin Oakenshield."
"I'm still not convinced. Another thing, the Elves will not give our quest a blessing. They will try to stop us. You and I both know this." Thorin replied.
"Of course they will. But we have questions that need to be answered. If we are to be successful, this will need to be handled with tact. And respect. And no small degree of charm. Which is why you will leave the talking to me." Gandalf told Thorin.
With those words, Gandalf led us down to Rivendell. I behind Thorin.
My stomach was in knots. In all my years... I've never seen my mother and father together.

Its often said...
"When two hearts meet after being apart for a time, the world fades away as they meet and share the purest of loves. They are invincible at that moment, and that is the magic of their love..."

We slowly crossed the bridge that led to Rivendell. With my keen eyes, I could just barely see a flash of white hair from a window before it disappeared. 'Mom...' I thought, smiling.
We came to the landing and Lindir, a friend came down the steps.
The dwarves that disliked elves altogether muttered.
Adad was mostly silent, knowing that the Rivendell Elves were unlike any other of their kin.
"Ah, Lindir" Gandalf greeted.
"We heard you had crossed into the Valley." Lindir spoke, I translated for the Dwarves.
"How do you know their tongue, lassie?" Gloin asked.
"I spent my years here growing up, remember?" I answered.
"I must speak with Lord Elrond." Gandalf, or as the Elves called him Mithrandir stated.
"My Lord Elrond is not here."
"Where is he, might I ask?" I questioned.
A horn sounded, making the Dwarves go into battle-ready mode.
"Close ranks!" Adad ordered seeing horses advance.
They began circling us.
I attempted to move, to say something but Thorin made me stay in place.

"Gandalf." Lord Elrond greeted happily.
"Lord Elrond." He returned the greeting.
"Mellon nin." *My friend!* Gandalf spoke, bowing his head.
"We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass." Elrond spoke in Elvish.
Once again, I translated.
"Strange for Orcs to come so close to our borders...Something or someone has drawn them near."
"Ah, that may have been us." Gandalf explained.
I was finally let out of the Dwarven-made circle. Allowed to stand next to Dwalin and Adad.
