Note 📝: Not gonna lie, in all honesty I have no idea where this story is taking us... 🤔
Recap-

A few possibilities ran through my mind on what could be happening.
Elara could have powers,
Fili could have found his One,
Or a confidant, a best friend.
Fourth option, all the above but I doubted that.

Time would indeed tell. And for now, I myself returned to my husband and continued to celebrate while Gavin, the guard kept watch.

~*~*~*~*~

A few days had passed since the long celebration of Theia and Legolas's wedding.
With it, came a surprise guest Elara who, well, quite frankly no one knew what to make of. She beheld an odd air. Not one of Magic, nor of evil but something else...
It kept his Amad, Kili, the King, Queen, Theia, Thráin and the guards on alert.
For Fili was quite curious about her it seemed. Everyone was in some way.

After the celebration, Fili invited Elara to stay in a guest chamber. After much convincing on all parties she agreed.

One would see them walking around, talking. Sometimes with Kili trailing with them, or his Amad or Grandfather, Thráin. Once in awhile it would be guards accompanying Fili and Elara.
It was a curious sight. I was beginning to think she was his new best friend, a confidant.

Fili POV
I had just simply wanted to spend time with Elara alone. Get to know her. The mysterious air surrounding her intrigued me.
However, my mother was determined to have us accompanied at every moment.
We continued to ignore them for the most part. Minus my brother.

On the fifth day, I managed to sneak Elara away and we finally had a proper conversation.
"So, Prince Fili. What's it like living in Erebor, the greatest of the Dwarven Kingdoms?" She asked, smiling.
I sighed, studying her. "Well, it can be hard at times, especially since Erebor is just rising again from the ashes. Our kin are traveling back which is interesting and exciting. I must admit that seeing my brother, cousin, and uncle with their Ones, can make me feel alone at times... But I have my Amad and grandfather." Fili paused, looking at Elara, "How about yourself? What is your life like?"

"Mine, is far different from yours, it's full of traveling, adventure, danger... I don't stay in one place for long, though I admit Erebor is the longest I've stayed in most places. I saw you in the woods that day you got attacked. I know you all sense something about me. I was the hawk that helped you. I'm a shapeshifter."
