-Vanessa? Vanessa! Wake up - Steve said shaking his girlfriend

-What babe? - she said opening her eyes

-It's the hospital, they called from the ICU where Danny is - Steve said clearly desperate

-Oh God! Did they tell you what happened? - Vanessa asked putting on her clothes

-No, they just said you should go

-Fine, are you coming too? - she asked noticing him getting dressed

-Of course, I wanna be there every step of it, I can't take being home with him like that

-Sure, let's go then, I'm driving - she shouted grabbing the car keys and hopping into the car.

-Berta, talk me through what happened

-He woke up Dr.Croft, he was agitated, but he is good now

-OMG! That is great news, did Dr.Burkwitz came to check on him already?

-Yes, he did

-Okay. Please, go tell Steve that he is fine and let him come, I am going to transfer him to a normal room

-On it! - Berta said and walked out

-Night Danny - Croft said entering the room

-So nice to see a familiar face - he smiled at her

-Nice to see that you are awake and responsive

-Yeah, do you know where Steve is? I need to talk to him about what happened

She froze, was him going to scream at him or something like that?

-He is coming, a nurse went to get him here

-Good

-How are you feeling? - Vanessa said doing a daily basis examination

-I am fine, but I have a heartache

-That is normal, you got heart surgery, but how is the pain level ? Out of 10

-Danny?! - Steve burst through the door

-Steve

-Are you good?

-uhm.. yes.. Vanessa could you give us a moment ? - Danny asked

-sure, call me if anything happens ok? -she looked to both of them

Vanessa's POV

I let them talking there for a while. When Steve stormed out of the room and didn't even looked at me. What the hell happened?

-Steve! Hey!

-Not now honey, I'm busy

-Fine - I put my hands in the air in defense and watched him walk away.

So basically Danny was shot by someone that was hiding on the hill and not by the criminals they were shooting at. He saw them but the angle they had aimed was impossible to avoid, if one couldn't get the shot, the other Two would. How do I know this you might ask? Cause Danny told Steve and I kind of overheard the conversation they had a couple minutes ago. I gotta say, Steve looked relieved he wasn't the reason Danny got shot in the chest, but he looked extra pissed with the guys who did it. My guess? The Reys brothers.

The rest of the day was calm for Vanessa, she had a couple of patients here and there, nothing big or stressful. On the other hand, Five-0 had one hell of a day. They dive into an investigation about the incident with Williams, ran after some guys and shot others so they could have substantial evidence that Reys Brothers did it. Their sentence was changed for life sentence, which made Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett, Officer Ray (Tani), Lt. Chin Ho Kelly and Captain Lou Grover extra happy, the only thing that was missing on their day was a beer at Kamekona's Shrimp truck.

-Aren't you going to call your better half? - Lou asked sipping his beer

-She is on her way, I will introduce you guys to her

-So it's serious than - Tani asked

-Yes - Steve said with a big smile on his face

Three minutes later Vanessa's light blue Range Rover was spotted by the group, and it was when they clicked. Steve was dating the Doc. They all cheered and comment but all McGarrett could see was her wavy Caramel hair and her mix green and Caramel eyes light up by the sunset.

-You must be the lady who has made my friend smile so much in the morning, I'm Lou - Grover said greeting the laughing girl

-Yeah that's me

-So, guys, this is Vanessa, these are Lou, Tani, Jerry and of course, Chin - Steve introduced them and she sat by Steve's side. They all talked for hours there, really enjoying the time they were having.

When the night arrived they all went to their homes, even Vanessa went to her own house this time, not Steve's.

Vanessa's POV

-Shit, I should really stop living at his house while I still kind of live here, this house stinks, what died in here?!

When I finally started cleaning my house I realized how dirty it really was, but anyways, nothing that music and late night couldn't solve.

The clock hit 2 in the morning and I had half of it done. Yeah, I told you it was dirty. So, I decided to call a person to help me out.

~Phone call~

-why are you calling me at this time?

-Cause I need your help

-I can sense that nothing good is coming out of this, what is it?

-Just come to my place with light clothing and flip-flop

-Gosh, okay, it better not be a dead body

-It's not. (At least I think is not - I whispeard)

-Fine, be right there in 10

-Thanksss

Thank God, I couldn't finish this mess with no help. Now I'm just going to sit and wait for my help to arrive.
