23- Rest

It has been one month since Melissa's arrest and today was the day the boys squad had a day off.

The plan was to go surfing in the morning, have a nice lunch by the beach and then go golfing in the afternoon. Danny however was not excited for this day.he had planned a day with Rachel so they could talk and hopefully get together again since Stan and Rachel got divorced and Rachel's kids were also Danny's, but he couldn't tell that to his co-workers, he wanted to give them the good news once it was settled, not in the process, he knew his friends would get excited and annoyed with him if he told them now, so he decided to cancel with Rachel and go on the “relaxing day”.

Danny's POV

-Rach, you know I don't want to go right? But I can't tell them about us now - There I was making sure she understood my reasons

-I know Danny, just go already - she said coming from the kitchen wearing my clothes

-good, then I see you tonight right? - I came closer to her and put my hands on her neck and cheeks

-Definitely - she kissed me and went back to the kitchen

I sighed and left her house.

On the way to Steve's house, where we would all meet, I couldn't contain my smile, I would finally be with Rachel and have a normal decent family years ahead of us.

I was drowned in my thoughts when Eddie started barking at the sight of my arrival, I guess this is it. Let's get this boring adventurous day started.

-Hey buddy - i said with a childish voice while I pet Eddie and heard the front door open, revealing a very well dressed woman, I guess ready to work

-Hi Danny, finally you got here and those jerks can stop talking about how late you were

Vanessa's POV

Today was Steve's day out with the boys and was my day to a 24 hour shift. I got dressed with a purple shirt and white pants and white heels. When I got down for breakfast Lou, Chin and Steve were around the table eating and making fun of Danny cuz once again he was late and they could believe how he accepted to go on this day with them since he was not a fan of nature of any kind.

I kissed Steve on his forehead and sat down to eat

-Good Morning guys - i said Smiling to them

-Good morning - they replied looking at me as if I had and watermelon on my neck

-What? - i asked confused while I ate the toast

-You, so dressed up like that, is it an important day we don't know about? - Lou asked raising one of his brows

-No, this is how I usually go to work🤷

-Then, wow! If I was your patient and would have a very high heart rhythm. - Lou said pretending to flirt - ouch man! Chill - he shouted when Steve gave him a slap on the head

-That's my girl, watch your language - he said with a fake angry face

I finished eating, said good-bye to the boys and headed to the door, when I opened I saw that the bride had arrived

-Hi Danny, finally you got here and those jerks can stop talking about how late you were

-Oh, hi Vanessa, looking good - he said shaking my hand

-Thanks, but don't let Steve hear that, Lou wasn't so lucky - I giggled

-I ain't scared of him - he laughed - have a good day at work
