Steve's POV

Next thing I noticed I was inside the blown building shouting Amanda's name. There were dead bodies everywhere. Fear started to build up inside me. I couldn't take her death on me.

-Steve?! Are you good bud? - that was Danny in the earpeace

-Physically yes, but I can't find Amanda

-Bud, calm down, are you inside the building?

-What stupid question is that? Of course I am

-ARE YOU INSANE? GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!

-I am leaving only when I find her

-Oh gosh, don't be stupid about it, please

-Shut it Danny

-Steve! You will be no use dead! - Danny shouted

-I already lost our father, I'm not losing her. You hear me? I'm not losing her! DAMNIT

I continued to search for her, but she was nowhere to be found. I got out of the building crying and hopeless, I couldn't see anyone in front of me. The only voice I could hear was hers. In my mind she was calling me, just like she did when we were kids. I couldn't take it, I just blacked out on the street.

Meanwhile, Chin was going crazy without news from Amanda or Steve.

He heard the explosion and started running towards the collapsed building with tears running down his face and with his heart up on his throat.

Amanda's POV

I went to my office to see some patients I had scheduled for today. The moment I reached my office door I realized I had forgotten my phone and purse in my car. So I left to get it.

Crazy thing was that, that day I parked in an unusual spot. I parked a couple streets from the building I worked.

As I was reaching my car I heard an explosion, I froze and looked back. It was the building that I work. I couldn't believe my eyes and the only thing I could do was ran there, maybe I could help someone Right?

-Ma'am, sorry to bother you, but are you Amanda McGarrett? - a police officer asked me when I arrived at the explosion site

-Yes, is there a problem?

-no, not at all, we are looking everywhere for you

-Who exactly?

-Your husband and your brother

-Thanks, tell them I will stay here

-Sure thing miss

...

-Steve? - I called him as soon as he got out of the building, I had no idea he was in there, but he didn't answer me

-Steve! - I called once again

-Steve! - and like that he just passed out on the floor

•Vanessa's Office•

-who let him enter an exploded building?!

-Vanessa, you know he wouldn't listen to anyone, he was determined to find his sister

-I DON'T CARE! HE COULD HAVE DIED IN THERE, SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED HIM

- HOW? Vanessa, look, you know how stubborn he can be, especially when it comes to family. The firefighters said they tried to stop him - Danny said raise his hands in the air

-They should have tried harder! They didn't do enough, what if he doesn't wake up or be fine?

-He will, have faith, he will, he didn't inhaled a lot of smoke, he is going to be fine - Omar said to his friend that was now crying

Steve's POV

When I wake up I wasn't on the street, I was at an office. Vanessa's office. I started to get nervous because I didn't remembered finding Amanda, but as soon as I got up from her couch I locked eyes with her. She was standing next to me with her hands in her coat pocket.

-You finally woke up - she said getting on her knees and brushing my, I supposed, messy hair.

-How long I've been out?

-8 hours

-No, no, no,no! I gotta go, she needs me - I got up and she pushed me down

-You are not going anywhere, she is already here, you don't need to go look for her

-Where is she then? I wanna see her - I was agitated. She looked through the office windows and made a sign for someone to get in. And there she was, alive and well. Amanda was alive

-OMG! I was so scared little mermaid

-Don't be, I'm fine, I was not even inside

-Oh Lord, that's amazing news - I hugged her for long minutes, my heart was racing and we were crying.

...

Amanda's POV

I can't believe this miracle. God really protect us.

It was not my day to go, and that got me thinking on the eight hours i waited for Steve to wake up.

I should really enjoy more of my time with my family and loved ones. My ohana. We never know when it's going to be our time to die and live our families with no mothers, brothers, sisters, fathers, husbands, wives, children.. we never know what's gonna happen next, but one thing is for sure, never EVER take moments in your life for granted.
