8 - Done Waiting

Amanda's POV

I was done with that bullshit, I deserve love, I deserve someone who loves me, who cares about me and does everything they can to make me feel good, safe and special, just as I do for them. Chin wasn't doing that since we discovered that we would face difficulties to have a baby. It's not like we couldn't, just that was going to be harder than usual. I guess that was enough for him to put me on the side of his life. Then, well, I would do the same to him.

When my clock hit 7:00 I get up, eat something and go to my room. I packed up almost everything I had, took a shower and went to the airport. I needed to get away.
To not leave suspiciousness I let a letter to Chin, lying about the reason I left and called Steve to tell him the same lie.

-Why so sudden? Something happened with Chin and you? - he was worried on the other end of the line

-No Steve - a lie - everything is fine, I just need a time off, this study that I'm running is making me go crazy

-Okay, call me when you get there ok?

Before I realised I was at my destination, one of the islands in Hawaii, Hanalei.

I made sure to stay at a desert place, and a beautiful one I might add. I made my way to my family's beach house I know, we grew up in one, but this place was remote, no one would bother my family here, that's why my dad bought this on our childhood My plan? Stay here for two long and amazing weeks. That's all. I needed to think my marriage over.

Chin's POV

I came back home to an empty house.

Vanessa was at the hospital and Amanda should be there as well. To my surprise when I got to the bedroom to change my sweaty clothes from my workout I saw open closet doors from Amanda's side with barely anything in there. When I got closer I saw a paper folded

-"Chin, I went away for a couple days, don't worry, I'm okay. Steve knows I am out but just like you he doesn't know where I'm at."

-Oh boy, I'm screwed

My phone rang and when I saw Steve's name on it and I froze

-Hey! - I tried to be as normal as I could

-Hey! Just calling to say that we got a case

-Okay, be there in 15, just going to take a quick shower

-Okay, see you mate

Uffs, I guess he doesn't know. Thank you for not telling him Amanda. If he got to know what is going on in this house he would definitely try to kill me.

~Five-0 HQ~

-What's the case? - Danny asked opening the glass doors

-A big one - Steve said putting the images on the TV's.

It was now 8 pm and Chin was sitting inside his house thinking about his wife, Which was an uncommon thing for him lately.

He started to put a hand in his conscious

With all the time he had left to think he came to the conclusion that he was hurting her more than he thought. He realised how much the pregnancy news changed him and how it changed the way he treated his wife. He concluded that he pushed her away, made her feel disgusted from herself, made her feel useless as a woman and made her feel like he didn't love her anymore, Which was a lie. He finally understood that he made the news all about him when it was more about her. He never, not even for a second stopped to think about how she was feeling.

-Stupid! You are stupid Chin 'Ho Kelly, that's what you are - he said while punching his bed over and over again.

~Steve's house~

Steve was sitting at his couch watching a football game that was on when someone knocked on his door, making him get up and go look. When he opened his door he was surprised to see her standing there. Felt like the day when he said goodbye, she standing at his doorstep, the wind blowing her wavy hair and her hands together in front of her body. It felt like May 2nd all over again.

-You were in my room last night, weren't you? she spoke at the instant he opened the door

-yes..uh.. come in - he made space and she entered his house

-I see you didn't change a bit from your father's decor huh? - she said looking around

-Yeah, I didn't, it reminds me of him

-I see...

-So, you came to my door to make sure I was at your room last night?

-Oh, yeah!
