Hush Little Baby

This is a badly written sad one-shot. Enjoy :)

"Hush, little baby, don't say a word.

Papa's going to buy you a mocking bird."

Tony cradled his son in his arms, rocking back and forth.

"And if that mocking bird don't sing,

Papa's going to buy you a diamond ring."

Tony ran one of his hands through his sons hair, still singing his sons favorite lullaby.

"And if that diamond ring is brass,

Papa's going to buy you a looking glass."

"It'll be okay baby, don't worry." Tony looked into his sons beautiful brown eyes.

"And if that looking glass gets broke,

Papa's going to buy you a billy goat."

"Dad is going to fix everything okay, Petey?" Tony whispered to his son. He rocked and cradled his son, not wanting to let him go.

"And if that billy goat don't pull,

Papa's going to you a cart and bull."

Tony started to cry as he held his son in his arms. "Sh, sh. It's all going to be okay. Dad has you." Tony let the tears spill out of his eyes.

"And if that cart and bull turn over,

Papa's going to buy a dog called Rover."

"Just stay with me, okay baby? Can you do that for your dad?" Tony let out a sob as Peter's glazed eyes connected with his.

"Can you do that for your good ol' dad?" Tony smiled as Peter nodded.

"And if that dog called Rover don't bark,

Papa's going to buy you a horse and cart."

Tony cradled his son to his chest in the middle of the street. Singing his dying son's favorite lullaby. The Iron-Man suit laying near by, broken and abandoned.

"And if that horse and cart turn round,

You'll still be the sweetest little babe in town."

Tony ignored the clicks of cameras as he held the maskless Spider-Man, his son, in his arms.

Peter cried as he stared at his dad and drew in his last breath.

"I love you, dad."

Then, his baby closed his eyes and said his goodbyes.

"Hush little baby, don't say a word."

I just got contacts yesterday and my eyeballs are screeching.

Also school starts back in less than a month ;(

I'm going to Carowinds August 2nd and I might do a one shot based on it.

Okay that's a little filler on my life ;)
