What Nix Didn't Know Part 2

HE

He was out of the country for a long time. He had concerts in Dubai and Qatar. After that, he went to the States to visit his family. He missed ASAP for 3 consecutive weeks. The first one was because he was avoiding a prod w/ HER, so he called in sick. The second one was because he was in Dubai, and the third one was because he was still in the States. He was planning to skip ASAP for the fourth consecutive week, but he ran out of reasons. He knew SHE would be there.

He came before 9am, kahit 9:30 pa ang call time niya. He was about to go straight to his assigned room, when he heard a familiar voice, with a not so familiar voice.

"Sino yon?' He asked Pancho.

"Sarah."

"I mean yung isang boses."

They both didn't recognize the voice. So Pancho went back a few steps. Bamboo was just three steps behind him. He was curious too, and he wanted to see who Sarah was singing with. Pero nagkasalubong lang sila ni Pancho.

"Boyfriend." Ang sabi nito sa kanya.

"Matteo?"

"Ilan ba ang boyfriends niya? May alam ka pa bang iba?"

"Wala." Pero hindi niya napagilan ang mga paa, at sumilip din siya sa studio. Papunta siya, at papalayo naman si Pancho.

"You know what? Go ahead. CR muna ko."

"May CR sa dressing room. Tapos na sila mag-rehearse." Natatawa nitong sagot sa kanya.

"Just go ahead, man."

"Ok. Fine."

I just want to see her. In five seconds I'm outta here.

And there Sarah was...with her boyfriend. Holding hands; laughing uncontrollably over something. They were done snging, he guessed.

A staff was talking to them, to her. She was so oblivious. She had no idea how her boyfriend looked at her. It was with admiration, with love, and yes he saw it, with lust.

He couldn't blame him. He couldn't blame any man, for that matter, for looking at her with...desire. Why wouldn't they? She's everything a man would want to have. Beautiful, charismatic, humorous, loyal, innocent; actually, her innocence - one thing that's so sexy about her - to him.

He went on and on, enumerating, in his head, every little thing he liked about her - her smile, her laugh, her eyes. He got stuck thinking of her eyes - her glistening eyes. They smile as she smiles.

He thought of her lips too. He loved looking at her lips. But hated the guilt that always came with it, like it was wrong, like he could get caught.

That's how he knew. A pang of jealousy, those little stabs on his heart, a tinge of regret he was sure he didn't feel before; they suddenly burst out the bubble he built for himself.

That's when he knew. That's when he faced it. He liked her. Or maybe, even more than that.

"Bamboo!" Si Garlic. Tinawag siya ni Garlic, at napalingon si Sarah bigla. The first thought that came to mind was to hide. But it was too late.

He saw how she suddenly let go of her boyfriend's hand as she stood up and looked at HIM. He saw the look on her face. She missed me. He saw it by how she waved at him. He didn't notice her boyfriend's confused look as he glanced at HIM, then HER. Bamboo didn't see that. Because he could only see HER. I missed her.

Nix didn't know a whole lot of things. Had she known, she, with her friends, would have flipped out.

They had no idea na ang ibang hinihimay nilang AshBoo moments sa ASAP, The Voice, events; ang mga inakala nilang delusional na assumptions; mga pinagtawanan at inisip nilang imposible dati, ay may halong katotohanan na pala kahit noon pa man.
