What Nix Didn't Know Part 7

They taped the battle rounds of TVK. Nothing special happened on set. But a lot, off set. Nobody really knew they were meeting for coffee, and sometimes, for dinner, except for a few people who were always with them.

They were on a hectic schedule. Minsan nga hindi naman nila kailangan lumabas pa. They couldn't really afford those outings with the limited time they had. But they managed to make time to go out and talk about anything under the sun, except about how they really felt about each other. May mga pahaging, lokohan, na madalas galing kay Bamboo, but they, obviously, didn't want to take it to another level.

They had to fool themselves into believing that they had that imaginary line between them. The truth was they knew there was none. The line had long been gone. And even if there was, they had crossed it several times.

They couldn't help it. Bamboo was right all along. That unexplainable force bringing them together never really left them alone. And Sarah could feel it too. She couldnt deny it anymore. She knew that one day, the inevitable would happen. And she'd end up finding him.

TWO-GETHER

They were in their rehearsal. They had to practice with Lea para sa guesting nila sa ASAP after nila magrecord ng kanta sa studio. They both wanted to record some songs para maiuwi nila pareho ang copy at mapractice sa bahay. They were down to two songs, but were on a break.

"May paparinig ako sayo." He gave his earphones to Sarah and browsed something on his ipad. When he found it, "It's a song I made before Christmas. Let me know what you think."

"Christmas song?"

"Love song."

They were quiet for a whole minute. It was the song that kept them quiet for a while.

"Hulaan ko title."

"Ano?"

"Almost Lover?"

"Right. so, what do you think?"

"Ang ganda. Ang galing. Ang sakit."

"Eh ikaw inspiration ng song na yan eh. Of couse, maganda, magaling at masakit."

"Ang sama ko naman sa song na to." Lumayo siya ng kaunti sa tabi ni Bamboo pagkatapos niyang isoli ang earphones.

"Of course not." Pero umusog ulit ito palapit kay Sarah.

"Did I make it that easy to walk right in and out of my life...Parang ang sama di ba?"

"Nope. Bitter lang yung nagsulat." Sagot ni Bamboo habang nakatingin at nakangiti sa kanya.

"Sorry."

"Don't say sorry too much. That makes it lose its meaning." Hinawakan nito ang kamay ng dalaga. Halos tapik lang yon. "Ok na. I just wanted you to listen to it kasi I want to give you this song."

"Bakit? Sayo yan eh."

"I just think mas maganda if babae ang magiinterpret ng song."

"Tapos, I will be forever reminded na para sa akin yan." Natawa sila pareho.

"I told you. Ok na ko. Di ba? Ikaw yata ang di ok." Hinawakan niya ulit ng kamay ni Sarah. Pero hindi niya kaagad tinanggal. Hinayaan niya lang na nakapatong ang kaliwang kamay niya sa kanang kamay ni Sarah.

"Sinong di ok?" Nagulat sila nang biglang magsalita si Mateo. Tinanggal agad ni Bamboo ang kamay niya. Samantalang hinawakan naman ni Mateo kaagad ang balikat ni Sarah at nag-attempt na hahalik sa pisngi, pero umiwas ito sa kanya.
