Parents Strongly Cautioned.

After the ceremony, the couple walked together hand in hand from the makeshift altar towards the house. Flower petals yellow and white, scattered on to them. Hands intertwined and their gazes locked.  They were a picture of a very happy couple; looking exactly like their future: sunny and bright.

Bamboo hugged her from behind as soon as they got inside the house. It was the most intimate he had ever held her; so tight, possessive, like he had been freed from a prison cell. Sarah turned, and their noses almost touched; their eyes still wet from their tears. They kissed. Quick ones.  One at a time. Tender. Moist. No words were spoken. But their eyes said it all. They felt victorious. It was like coming together after a battle where both of them fought steadfastly. The odds were overturned. And time became an ally.

"Excuse me." They heard someone's voice. Their hands still lurking on each other's back.

"It's ready." His sister said.

"We go out now?" Bamboo asked as he temporarily let go of Sarah's back.

"Let me fix that for you. " His sister told Sarah. She removed Sarah's  veil, then the trail from her gown.

"Thank you." Sarah said.

"My pleasure." His sister said smiling at Sarah. "Welcome to the family." She hugged her, and it made them both emotional.

"Aren't you going to fix me too?" Bamboo asked his sister, trying to stop them from crying.

"You're good." His sister said, "Just this one..." she continued as she wiped off the lipstick on his lips.

"Oh that." He said smiling.

"Oh yeah, that." She said laughing. "Congratulations!" She hugged her brother."

"Thank you for everything." Bamboo said.

"We're family, remember?" She smiled.

After a few more moments, they were walking down the same aisle. Their friends and family formed a big circle around the couple. The music started playing. Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You. Bamboo and Sarah started dancing. Freestyle! They weren't able to prepare anything. They knew they were going to dance. His sister told them. But there was not enough time.

"Where's the mic?" Bamboo asked his sister.

"You're just too good to be true...can't take my eyes off of you...." They began to slow dance, forehead to forehead...as he serenaded her. "You'd be like heaven to touch. I wanna hold you so much. At long last, love has arrived. I thank God, I'm alive." He raised his head and wrapped his hands around her shoulders. They looked like a Kapamilya loveteam right there doing a production number on ASAP. "You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you....."

Sarah was teaching him how to dance the instrumental part. But ke kept stepping on her toes. Each time, they'd stop and laugh so hard until it ached.

"I love you baby...and if it's quite alright, I need you baby to warm the lonely night. I love you baby. Trust on me when I say. Oh pretty baby, don't bring me down I pray, oh pretty baby........let me love you...."

He started doing his moves - Bamboo moves - which made everyone watching laugh. But not Sarah. She was screaming - high pitch - like a real fan - Waaaaaaaaaa ang guwapo ng asawa ko. That made Bamboo raised her with his two hands, mic on the floor. She in his arms. "Excuse me guys! My wife and I have to go." Those words brought the house down.
