Before they meet up in the observatory. . .

Connor's POV

I was walking down the hill from the homestead, on my way to search one of Achilles' secret stash hidden somewhere in the forest. A sudden tremor, the ground shook violently. Birds fluttered away, surrounding the sky. Animals flee from their burrows and bushes. I tried to regain my balance but it was no use, so I staggered each time and hold on one of the trees. It took a while before it died down, I never felt this strong earthquake before. Neither the clan mother back at my village didn't warn me about it.

Why did it happen so suddenly? I thought. Until I'm worried about the homestead and Achilles, I hurried back as fast as I could. I arrived and everyone including Achilles is there, outside. They are confused and scared, not knowing what happened. I walk towards Achilles, "Old man, are you alright?" I asked.

"I am fine, Connor and so as Everyone. What just happened?"

"A sudden earthquake,"

"An earthquake? How is that possible?"

"I'm not sure. It was stronger than I imagine,"

Achilles scratches his chin, still confused about it. I turn around, everyone looks up at the sky, pointing. I gaze on their direction, I see the sky started to crack on its own. Like a wall been wrecked from the blow, I never saw anything like this before. The crack becomes a white line, separating. I had a feeling that there will be a disaster coming. I turn to Achilles asking, "What shall I do, Old man?"

"Perhaps you should investigate, do not worry about us. You are an assassin after all." He said. I figure he would ask me to do that, I slightly nodded and followed his order. As I went further, he called me.

"Connor!"

I stopped and looked at him.

"Be careful," he said.

I nod once and continue to run. I don't know how long the white line could go, but it definitely headed to either Boston or New York. I saw an abandoned horse on the way, no rider been spotted. I assumed that the rider left it once the earthquake began, I walked closer to the horse. Gently calming it down, caressing the neck adjusting its saddle. It seems it got agitated when the ground shakes, I climbed on it and ride all the way to New York first.

-2 hours later- (Fast Travel Reasons)

The light gleamed through the trees, no sound of animals roaming around. It was quiet. . . too quiet, I started to think that there is someone here. I pulled the reins, carefully stopping the horse. The road seems long but I'm almost near to New York however, the silence didn't last long. Before I knew, a figure dropped down on me. Blocking his attack which he and I fell on the ground, the horse runs off but that didn't matter. I stand up quickly before he does, I looked at him. The robes were grey with a red interior, maintaining an open-collared torso and a grey shirt beneath. The shoulders continued to each display a cross with triquetras and upper body now featured two shoulder belts, with the larger belt continuing its function of holstering an Air rifle as well as featuring a Templar insignia at the front.

Why does he look familiar? Until he speaks with me, "Never seen you around here, but you do look like someone I know before."

He has an accent I never know of, his tone sounded bitterly and cold. His eyebrow furrowed with a grim look, not knowing what he means of 'someone he knew before'.

"State your business here, stranger," I demand.

"Oh, I am a stranger alright," he scoffs.

"My business is killing an assassin, which is- you." He pointed at me the fact he wore differently from what I've seen. However, he has a templar symbol on his robes. Wait, I realized I killed all my targets from my wall. Then how come this man standing in front of me doesn't have a picture of himself? Is he one of my father's accomplices? His other backup? But he didn't tell me anything about him.
