Today Mike wasn't really feeling well So he wasn't allowed out and Dad wouldn't let me go over since he could get me sick. "Hey kid are you ready to go?!" Dad yelled to me from the living room. I put my shoes on and said "Just a second!" I walked out of my room and saw my dad now at the door with the keys on his hands.

"Remember the rules?" He said as we got in the car. "Yep,don't talk to strangers,don't get into trouble,and no using powers In Public." I replied. He looked at me before turning on the engine. "And?" He said. "And don't tell anyone." He nodded and we began our trip to Max's house.

Max

"Hey! Maxine!" Billy yelled. "What?!" I yelled back. "Your little friend is out side." He said throwing my skate board at me. "Don't fuck up." He said once I left the house. Billy can be such an ass hat.

"Hey Max!" El said walking towards me giving me a hug. I hugged her back and smiled. Lately El and I have become more of best friends then just friends because they went though a lot together after saving Will.

Max and I got into the back of Dads car as we started to drive off to Starcourt and Max turned to me and said "Sooo El how's things with Mike??" I blushed and my dad coughed making us change the subject to something else. "I was thinking maybe you could teach me to skate" I said hoping for a positive answer. "Oh my god of course I will!!" She answered.

I smiled and soon dad stopped right out side of starcourt handing me a purse with around 60$ in it. I had been doing a lot of choirs to get more money so I could save up for a day out with Max. Plus Kali Called Me and dads home phone a while ago and told me she would come over to Hawkins Soon so I could fill her in on everything.

Me and Max jumped out of the car and I said my goodbye to Dad and we started walking towards the entrance of the Starcourt mall. "So where do you want to go first?" Max said once we got inside. "Scoops ahoy!" We walked towards the ice cream shop with linked arms smiling.

"One vanilla with sprinkles and one Strawberry." Max said to Robin over the counter. "Ok." She said turning around to get her scooper. She scooped up both and said. "Here you go that'll be $2.99" Steve then opened the doors of the window. "Hey kids." He said climbing through.

"Hey Steve" we both said handing Robin the money as well as a $2 dollar tip. "Where's Dustin and the boys? Aren't you and mike always with eachother?" Steve said to me while serving another customer. "Mikes sick so me and El are having a day out." Max said smiling. "Oh so like a girls day?" Robyn said.

"Yeah a girls day." I replied. "I'm on my break in 10 meet me at the fountain." She said putting the cash in the register. "You got it." We both said walking out with our ice creams. "So where next?" I asked eating mine. "We can go to the record store and pick out some stuff?" Max said eating hers too. I nodded and we walked to the store laughing and talking.

"Hey look there's a Elvis Record!" I said reaching out for it. "Oh! cool!" Just then Max smiled wider then before. "Look! Madonna!"
I turned around putting down the Elvis record. "What song!" I replied. "Material girl!" She said as we began walking to the counter to pay.

So far we both spent around $10 dollars and we had now began going to the fountain to meet with Robin. "Hey girls!" Robin said smiling as they approached her. "Hey rob!" I said going up to her to give her a hug. "So, El, Max, Hows it going?!" She said as we all started walking towards a nearby table and chairs."everything's great!" Max said as we sat down. "Yeah everything's awesome." I said.

Just then ,the one and only, Ericka Sinclair showed up out of the blue. "Hey Nerds." She said sitting beside Robin. We all just laughed and talked for a while before I decided to get up and call Kali on the public phone to see if she was in Hawkins yet.

"I'll be right back!" I said getting of the chair I was sitting on to go to the phone. They all
Just watched me go over to the phone and sort of just watched me..

The phone rang 3 times before some one picked up. "Hello?" A woman spoke over the phone. "Kali?!" I said. "Who's this..?" She said. "It's me El- I mean, Jane." I said over the phone. "Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't know you'd call !" She said. "Yeah I was just wondering if you made it to Hawkins yet?" I replied. " me and the gang just passed the welcoming sign actually, where are you and we'll stop by?!" I told them the directions to Starcourt and then said my goodbye and put the phone back and went back to the table.

"Who was that?" Max said eating her food she had ordered from the food court. "My sister." I said. "SISTER?!" Everyone yelled loud enough to get a few heads turned.
