It had been a further two weeks since your mission into Russia, and Overwatch had now known the location of the Talon base for near of a month. Surprisingly, Genji insisted on remaining in the field, keeping Talon under constant observation while staying out of sight in the dense Brazilian jungles. He survived on whatever he could scavenge, and amazingly Talon were still unaware of his presence. Frankly, he was just the sort of ally you needed to take Talon down.

Watchpoint Gibraltar had become a hive of activity in this time thanks to the aid of General Prakash Chitanis and Katya Volskaya. When you had first arrived at Overwatch just a six weeks ago, this base had been hilariously understaffed, now it was bursting at the seams. A trio of Svyatogor mechs stood in the ocean around the island, partly as a defence against naval attack and partly because they were so large that there was nowhere else to put them. Dozens of soldiers stood in the open rocks, doing manoeuvres under the command of their officers.

But that was not all. Ana Amari's daughter, Fareeha, had followed in her mother's footsteps and chosen to join Overwatch. She was a member of Helix Security International and a hell of a shot with a rocket launcher. You were not sure how much use her jump jets would be in an underground base, but having also served in the Egyptian Army, she was yet another ally you could not afford to turn down.

As the sun shone high over the assembling armies; Ana, Jack and Winston strolled through the outside of the base, staring in awe at the huge forces that had gathered in such a short amount of time. All of this was thanks to Olivia, by blackmailing both Chitanis and Volskaya she had managed to secure a force that certainly couldn't be mocked.

You stood up above on the balcony of your shared dormitory, watching all of this take place with a glass of mezcal in your hand. A Volskaya Industries dropship burst to life above you, and you looked on as it flew past, the wind from its engines blowing a gale your way. You should have been happy. Here you were, at last with an army to boast about, ready to take the fight to Talon.

But your heart hung heavy in your chest. A similar force had assembled before the invasion of Miami, with similar rousing war speeches, and that had all been an unmitigated disaster. The only reason the US had won that fight was because of your actions with the EMP. And now you could not help but wonder if history would repeat itself.

"You don't look happy, amor. What's on your mind?" Olivia questioned suddenly, appearing behind you like a ghost.

She poured her own glass of mezcal, standing beside you and taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

"Numbers aren't everything..." you commented, your eyes darting from one thing to another.

The mechs, the ships, the soldiers, would it be enough?

"Two weeks ago, we had a fraction of this...we haven't done badly" Olivia countered.

You could not deny that, but it did little to comfort you.

"True, but we only get one shot at this. 'Not bad' isn't really enough..." you replied, gulping down the rest of your drink with a sigh.

"You've been by my side the whole time, tell me...who else could we have approached?" Olivia questioned curiously.

You shook your head with a grim smile.

"Nobody. There is no-one else. I know that, but I'm a soldier, Olivia. It may look like a lot now, but out there, in the field, things happen. Everything goes to hell and...one mistake. That's all it takes for us to lose everything. If I could, I'd wait years before attacking, gather the entire world if I had to" you explained, unable to shake your military perspective.
