Chapter 23: The Confession

This is gonna be the most wholesome chapter.

"Kokichi, are you feeling okay?" His mother said as she knocks at the door.

Kokichi opens the door and hugs his mom.

She notices that her son has tears stains on his face.

"What's wrong?" His mother said, feeling concern.

"I found out that Shuichi is moving away this Friday." Kokichi whispers.

"I'm so sorry. I know you and Shuichi are great friends. Me and your father will miss him too." His Mother said.

"Yeah. I know you and Dad will miss him too."

"How about you plan on giving Shuichi a gift?"

Kokichi thought about giving Shuichi a gift and smiles.

"That's a great idea mom!" Kokichi exclaims, cheerfully.

His mom smiles. She is glad that She made Kokichi feel better.

"By the way, it's time for dinner."

"Okay. I'll head downstairs in a minute."

When his mom left, Kokichi went to the bathroom and washes his face.

Then, he went downstairs to eat dinner with his parents.

"Your mother told me what happened. I'm sorry that Shuichi has to move away. We will miss him." His father said.

"Yeah. I'll miss him too." Kokichi replies.

After dinner, Kokichi really thinks about tomorrow.

Sure, he is upset that  he is moving away but he is not going to give up. He is going to tell Shuichi his feelings.

He went upstairs to his room. He knows exactly what to do.

After Shuichi ate dinner with his uncle and aunt, he went to the living room to read a book.

Reading a book helps Shuichi feel better.

Suddenly, a notification sound comes from his phone and he checks it.

PantaLord: Hey Shuichi. Tomorrow, can you meet me at the park at 6pm?

Shuichi texts him back.

PantaLord: Hey Shuichi. Tomorrow, can you meet me at the park at 6pm?

EmoDetective: Sure. I'll see you at the park tomorrow.

The ultimate detective is curious about it. After he finishes reading his book.

He heads upstairs to take a shower, brushes his teeth, and changes into his pjs.

Finally, he went to bed. Tomorrow, he is going to meet with Kokichi.

The park, 6 pm.

Shuichi arrives at the park and sits on the bench. He waits to meet with Kokichi.

There, he sees Kokichi arriving at the park and sits next to him.

"Thanks for meeting me at the park like you promise."
