"You don't think we're going to last?!" were the first words Jin heard when he walked into his house that evening. Jungkook was standing crossed arms about ten feet away from the door, his chest heaving up and down, and his face contorted in fury.

Jin had had an especially stressful day at work today seeing that he had started making preparations for the restaurant's 50th anniversary that was in less that two weeks. His boss had approved the menu he and Taehyung had created and because the two men were sous-chef and assistant sous-chef respectively, they were in charge of making sure that the event would be perfect.

All the older wanted to do was take a long relaxing bath and go to bed, instead, he was met with a furious Jungkook.

Knowing Jungkook, he wouldn't leave Jin alone until they talked this out so Jin knew he had no chance of postponing this conversation until a later date so he simply headed to the couch and sat down before patting the cushion next to him, signaling for Jungkook to sit as well.

Jungkook sat down next to Jin with a huff, his hands still crossed over his chest.

"How did you know?" Jin asked, before rubbing his face with his hands and squeezing his eyes shut as he shook his head lightly in attempt to dispel his fatigue.

"Yoongi hyung told Jimin hyung and Jimin hyung told me." Jungkook replied and Jin simply sighed. He should've guessed it. Almost everything Yoongi knew, Jimin knew, and almost everything Jimin knew, Jungkook ended up knowing too. Most news regarding any of them always found a way to circulate among the four of them which was why his conversation with Yoongi earlier today, found its way to Jungkook.

"Hyung," Jungkook called, "why do you think we're not going to last?" A pout formed on his lips as he asked.

Jin knew he'd have to tell Jungkook sooner or later.

"Because, you're not what I look for in a guy" Jin confessed honestly, too honestly.

Jungkook's pout deepened and he looked like he was going to cry. It reminded Jin of the time Jungkook was trying to propose to him back when Jungkook was ten.

It was tough but he decided to keep going. This was something that had to be done. Holding off on it was only going to give Jungkook false hope and that wasn't fair to him. He also couldn't have Jungkook continue being affectionate with him when there was  going to be no positive outcome of it.

"It's not that your not a wonderful guy, you are and truth be told, I am attracted to you, but you're not the right person for me. You're too immature for me. I just don't want someone to hold hands with, or kiss, and such. I want someone who I can share my problems with, someone who can understand me the way I need to be understood, someone who can help me when I need help. I want a partner, Jungkook and that's not you. I can do those things for you but you can't do them for me. There are adult things that I tell Yoongi and Jimin that I can't tell you because you just won't understand. I can't see myself having a meaningful conversation with you about a lot of things. The biggest thing you have to worry about is school and getting into college, the things I have to worry about aren't something I should bother a high schooler with. We're at two completely different stages in our life Jungkook and I don't think that bodes well for a relationship going forward. You're young, you should date other young people such as yourself. I like us the way we are now. I like what we have. I don't want us to ruin it. Let's just leave well enough alone." Jin was relieved to get all that off his chest. He had been hesitant about letting Jungkook know all the thoughts in his head about their being together but now that he had, he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulder.

"What we have isn't good enough, hyung. The way we are, isn't good enough. It's suffocating when you're next to me and I can't hold you the way I want, it's upsetting when I see you having a tough time and I can't be there for you the way I want to. It's frustrating when you're happy and I can't celebrate with you the way I feel like. I don't like the way things are between us and I know you feel the same too. I want more and you know you do too. I don't want to be your Kookie, I want to be yours." Jungkook said the last part as he got up from where he was sitting next to Jin on the couch and sat on Jin's lap, straddling the older, before wrapping his arms around Jin's neck.

"So what that I'm young, if you want a shoulder to lean on, I'll be there. If you want a listening ear, I'll lend you mine. If you want a partner, I'll be just that for you." Jungkook ran a hand through Jin's hair. "You are the only man I've ever loved and I just want a chance to be with you. What I want is more than just handholding, and kisses, and sex. I want all of you. Your good days, your bad days, your okay days, I want it all, hyung. So please, just give me a chance. A chance to show you that there is nothing more right than you and I. All I'm asking for is one chance. You can't turn me down without first seeing if we could work. I know we can, I believe we can, I believe in us, hyung. I know that relationships take work, and I'm ready to put in the work. The question is, are you?"
