Jin had noticed that for the rest of Chuseok, Jungkook was mad at him but the younger refused to talk to him about it. When they arrived back at their home after the three day festival, Jin tried bringing up the subject of why Jungkook was mad at him again but as usual, Jungkook refused to talk about it.
Jin was left with no other choice. He had to buy Jungkook's forgiveness for whatever it was that he did wrong. The day after they had arrived back, Jin went to the mall and got Jungkook timberlands and black shirts, the younger's favorites.
"Kookie! Kookie!" Jin called when he arrived back from the mall. The younger wasn't in the living room or the kitchen. "Kookie" he called as he knocked on Jungkook's bedroom door. There was no response so he decided to let himself in.
"Why didn't you answer me? Didn't you hear me calling you?" Jin asked when he saw Jungkook laying on his bed flipping through a manga. Jungkook didn't have earphones in his ears neither was he playing music so he had to have heard Jin but he just didn't respond. Jungkook was on the bed, laying on his stomach using his elbows to prop himself up as he read.
Jin walked over to Jungkook and dropped the bags on his bed.
"Will you talk to me now? I'm sorry, Kookie" Jin apologized although he still had no idea what he did wrong.
"Kookie. Kookie. Kookie~" Jin got on the bed and laid on Jungkook's back and wrapped his arms around Jungkook and began rocking both himself and Jungkook from side to side.
"Forgive me?" He asked as he swayed their bodies. Jungkook still didn't respond and Jin finally snapped. He had had enough of being ignored especially when he had no idea what it was that he had done wrong so he leaned down and bit Jungkook's shoulder.
"Ahh, hyung!" Jungkook yelped in pain.
"He speaks" Jin said, with an oh too obvious tone of sarcasm. "Now will you tell me why you're mad at me or should I bite you again?" Jin asked as he got off Jungkook and sat with crisscrossed legs next to the younger.
Jungkook sat up as well, mirroring Jin so they were facing each other as he rubbed his now aching shoulder.
"Did you have to bite me that hard?" Jungkook whined
"You were being a brat." Jin stated, "now what's wrong? Why are you ignoring me?"
"Because you don't want me around anymore." Jungkook pouted as he fiddled with his fingers.
"Where the hell did you get such a nonsense idea from?" Jin asked. He was upset because Jungkook seemed to believe that that was actually true. How could Jungkook believe such a ridiculous thing.
"Hyung" Jungkook raised his eyebrows, shocked that the older had cursed. He never cursed.
"What?"
"You said a bad word"
"Because you said a stupid thing. Why would you even think such a thing?"
It was no secret that Jungkook had abandonment issues. When you're left on a bus bench by your own mother, you tend to develop such a problem which was also why Jungkook had nightmares about being abandoned the first few years that he lived with Jin but Jin couldn't believe that Jungkook would ever, in a million years, think that he would want him gone. Not after they'd been together for so long. Didn't Jungkook know how much Jin loved him?
"How did that ridiculous idea come about?" Jin asked, curious as to why exactly Jungkook thought that way.
"...why won't you let me commute if you still wanted me around? Why do you want me to move away from you so badly? Is it so bad going to college from home?"
"You can commute if you want but I just wanted you to get the whole college experience."
"I don't want to leave you..." Jungkook whined
"But I'll be right here when you get back and plus, you can always come back every weekend. But if you really don't want to live on campus, you don't have to."
Suddenly feeling like an ass, Jungkook threw himself at Jin and wrapped his arms around the older.
"I'm sorry, hyung"
"Next time just talk to me instead of jumping to conclusions, okay?"
"Ok"
Jin smacked Jungkook's butt.
"Ow!"
"You deserved it."
"True" Jungkook agreed as he got off Jin and focused his gaze on the bags that were next to Jin. "What do we have here..." Jungkook said as he reached for the bags but Jin snatched them away.
"You put me through all that emotional and mental stress for over three days over your stupid assumption instead of just talking to me in the first place? You don't deserve these"
"Then why'd you get them for me?"
"Who says I got them for you?"
"Hyung..." Jungkook pouted and Jin rolled his eyes, "fine, here" he said, handing the bag to the younger.
"Try them on" Jin said and Jungkook shook his head, "I don't like when you see me change, hyung. You should leave"
"I promise not to get emotional this time" Jin replied, and Jungkook rolled his eyes knowing fully well that his hyung was lying.
Since Jungkook had been physically abused when he was younger, he still had some scars from the abuse and every time Jin saw those scars, he got emotional because he was sad that someone hurt such a wonderful soul. He couldn't imagine what kind of monster would hurt another person especially someone as amazing as Jungkook.
Jungkook took out one of the black shirts from the bag before taking off the shirt he was wearing. Immediately he saw his hyung's face fall into a gloomy state.
"I told you to leave" Jungkook said as he looked down at Jin who was now sitting on the edge of the bed in front of Jungkook. He was looking up at the younger's stomach, letting his eyes take in the awful sight of the scars he that covered the younger's stomach and sides. They weren't many but they were enough to make his heart hurt beyond belief. He didn't want one single scar on the younger's body.
Jin lifted his hand and let it trace the scars on the Jungkook's body as he tried blinking back his tears.
"Hyung..."
"You're too precious for this world, Kookie"
Jungkook kneeled down so he was just a bit below eye level with Jin and took the older's head into his hands and proceeded to wiping away Jin's tears with his thumbs.
They stared at each other, afterwards, and Jungkook began to realize how close his face was to Jin's. He started leaning in to further bring their faces closer together until they could feel each other's breaths against their lips.
"Hyung..." Jungkook whispered
Jin didn't respond. It was like he couldn't process what exactly was going on. He knew he should push Jungkook away but he didn't, he just sat there frozen.
"Can I kiss you?" Jungkook asked, his lips barely inches away from Jin.
Jin sucked in his own lips into his mouth and clamped it shut. He had enough common sense left to know that he shouldn't let Jungkook kiss him.
Jungkook didn't let that bother him. If he couldn't kiss him on the lips, he'd just kiss him elsewhere. He simply shifted his head to the side and placed his lips on Jin's cheek in a lingering kiss before trailing his lips slowly and sensually all the way down to the older's shoulder blade, then lifting his head and facing Jin again. With their faces back to being only mere inches apart, he spoke again.
"Hyung, can I kiss you?"
