Just because you love someone doesn't mean the two of you should be together; that's what Jin had come to realize from being with Jungkook. It was undeniable that Jin was fond of Jungkook, but it was also undeniable that Jungkook wasn't mature enough to be with Jin.

Jin wanted them to work, he really did. At first, he wanted to wait for Jungkook to be older before they started a relationship but when he heard the way Jungkook spoke that night he came home, how Jungkook sounded so certain and mature, a little part of Jin began to think that maybe things between them would still work out if they started something now, although a bigger part of Jin was screaming at him not to rock to boat, it was yelling at him to wait till Jungkook was older, but Jin ignored it. He decided to start a relationship with Jungkook, against his better judgment. Now, here he is, eight months after their breakup and Jungkook hadn't uttered a single word to him in six months.

After Jungkook had begged Yoongi to talk to Jin, and that didn't work, Jungkook continued to beg Jin to take him back but it was to no avail. Jungkook became frustrated from the constant rejection and that frustration soon became anger, which soon became resentment. Just like that, Jungkook stopped speaking to Jin entirely. He even tried to avoid occasions where the two of them would have to meet, which was quite difficult considering they lived in the same house.

Jin had been trying to get Jungkook to talk to him again for months now but the younger wouldn't budge, which in turn, made Jin frustrated and back off, deciding to give Jungkook time to work things out by himself. In hindsight, that wasn't the best idea because now, the two of them had barely uttered five complete sentences to each other everyday for the past couple of months now.

"Seriously?! Now?!!! Here?!!?!" Namjoon snapped, he'd had enough. He couldn't take it anymore. This was supposed to be a nice family and friends gathering to celebrate his engagement to Hoseok but Jin and Jungkook were ruining the event by refusing to even look at each other.

The gathering consisted of the Kim parents, Namjoon, Hoseok, Jungkook, Seokjin, Yoongi, and Jimin. Yes, Jimin and Yoongi were friends with Namjoon and Hoseok. How could they not be when they were Jin and Jungkook's besties and Namjoon and Hoseok were family to Jin and Jungkook.

"Namjoon, just let it go. We've been trying to get them to be on good terms again for months now but we've only been met with failure." Jimin said before putting a piece of meat in his mouth. He wasn't annoyed by Jin and Jungkook anymore, he was just tired. Ever since they stopped talking to each other, there were no more movie nights with the four neighbors, neither were there any get-togethers because Jungkook would rather be caught dead than be around Jin—today was the only exception. Today was Namjoon and Hoseok's day so Jungkook decided to at least be there for them, but he made no promise nor effort to interact with the enemy, AKA Seokjin.

"You might as well have not come," Mrs. Kim spoke. She wasn't just addressing Jungkook, she was talking to Jin as well. "All you're doing is ruining a good day. You both should've just stayed at your home." She said before getting up from her chair and stomping out of the dining room.

"Thanks a lot" Namjoon said with venom lacing his words as he glared and the two culprits, "I hope you're happy for ruining my day." He then got up and chased after his mother.

Jin got up from where he was sitting too and headed for the balcony. He needed some fresh air.

Hoseok got up as well and walked to the other side of the dining table, where Jungkook was seated and grabbed the younger by the ear before pulling him out of the living room and into a secluded space somewhere in the house, leaving Yoongi, Jimin, and Mr. Kim at the dining table.

"So..." Jimin spoke, trying to ease the tension in the room, "nice weather we're having right?" As soon as he said that, lightning was heard, which was immediately followed by heavy raining and Jimin could do nothing but shove another piece of meat in his mouth.

"Why are you acting like such a brat?" Hoseok asked, crossing his arms. His furious eyes were boring into Jungkook's now-timid ones. Jungkook didn't know that this side of Hoseok existed. He missed his happy-go-lucky sunshine, he wanted that Hoseok back. This one was scary.

Jungkook couldn't respond because he didn't know what to say, but Hoseok didn't let up. "Jeon Jungkook, I asked you a question."

"He doesn't love me anymore..." Jungkook whispered out. His voice was so low that Hoseok had to strain his ears to hear it.

"That's it? That's why you decided to ruin my engagement party?" Hoseok asked in response

"Hyung..." Jungkook croaked out, on the brink of tears. He didn't want to ignore Jin but he couldn't talk to the man either because he hated Jin. You can only hate someone as much as you loved them and Jungkook loves Jin a whole lot, so when Jin ended things with him like it was nothing, and refused to take him back, he was hurt. But no matter how pathetic it sounds, if Jin walked in right now and asked for Jungkook back, Jungkook would say yes in a heart beat.

"I heard what you did at the restaurant's anniversary—Jimin told me— and believe me if I were Jin, I'd have dumped your ass too." Hoseok said.

Jungkook knew all of this was his fault, he couldn't blame anyone else for this, not even Jin. Jungkook was the reason that he and Jin weren't together anymore. It was completely his fault, and he wanted nothing more than to fix everything.

"Teach me how to be mature, hyung." Jungkook begged, he wanted his Jinnie hyung back.
