Lizzie's POV-
"You were casually talking to Shelby. You both had just managed to transform into your Kokana Mode and were leaving the platform. You put your hands on your head, that was probably when the entity was fighting you for control. Last time we had seen this happen was with Jason, and Jess barely managed to stop him from attempting to murder an entire city! Jason forced the other members of your Generation behind us to keep them safe, but Shelby managed to slip away and knock you out." I explained to him.
"That explains things a bit... Wait, Jason almost killed an entire city?!" He responded. "He may seem safe now, but he's a beacon of death if you're on the wrong side." Joel humorously popped in.
"So, Cory, what was happening when the entity was trying to take hold of you?" Adam assessed him. "All I could think of was how internal conflict exists no matter how happy people think the world is. How differing opinions cause conflict and lead to a permanent unbalence of power. I kept thinking of how no matter how hard anyone could try at anything, it would never be enough. I wanted to stabilize this torment to stop the human race from instant turmoil, but I couldn't think of ways to do so without just making it all even worse then what was already there. No matter how hard I fight, whether the entity is getting what it wants or not, I had already lost. It wanted control over everything and life as it's known. I was stuck under the control and there was no escape. I had lost my chance to gain even a little control. I was left with nothing to do but watch, hope someone had a chance at stopping me." Cory reluctantly admitted.
Jason walked over to him and put his hand on his shoulder. Before I could blink, Shelby was on his other side. At first, I couldn't understand why Jason had walked over, then I realized, he's probably felt something similar. "I just thought, what about when you were knocked out? What was running through your mind then? Was it Shelby?" Jen slyly questioned him. Shelby blushed and looked away, while he looked at Jen with a glare. "That was not was I was thinking of at that moment, and I'm sure you already knew that!" He yelled back.
I was starting to get tired of the banter, not that I wasn't enjoying it. Thankfully, a voice did the job for me. "Can we get back to the point?" Dawn asked. Cory cleared his throat, then began to clarify once again. "It all
seemed dark and dreary. I was falling constantly into the inky black with nothing around me that I could see. For a bit, I had forgotten about what had just happened. I was confused on where I was, because nothing around me seemed to be familiar. I couldn't prevent myself from falling into a neverending void, which made me think that maybe I was trapped inside of my element. Things finally clicked and I was wondering where I was. I didn't know whether any of you were safe. I realized that this couldn't be real, I needed to check if you all were safe, so I forced myself to wake up. That's when I woke up to you all talking." He quickly finished up. The others seemed to be taking time to process what he had said to them. Why is it that I feel like something is coming for all of us?
