Shelby's POV-
This blank empty space was unrecognizable, yet the figure in possession of me was all too familiar. But, why? Why is Cory's entity here? Why would it latch to me? I'm going to die in here, aren't I? Life elementals are especially weak against entities made from Death. My heart is still cracking, I can feel it, my time is running out. If I let myself die here, that's it. I'm left with nothing. But, I have to come back! I'd be letting them down if I didn't! I felt my eyes begin to cloud, it's trying to blind me so I follow without hesitation. It seemed to call my name, but it wasn't welcoming. It was beckoning me to easy death. I wanted to grasp to something, anything, to block it out, but it was no use. The thoughts and sentences of the entity stabbed like needles, deeper and deeper into my head. It was almost painful. My thoughts of betrayal, corruption, manipulation, they overran anything else. Not a droplet of positivity could fall to the other side. It was like I was blank, nothing, an empty slate. It was like endlessly falling, yet you're held up by someone who's about to drop you back into the endless pit. It's head perked up. Someone else was here, a faltered link perhaps? Whether of good will or toxic, I couldn't be sure. Whoever it is, please, don't leave me here with this! Don't let me rot away! I... don't have much time. The strings lifted me off the ground, almost as if a taunt. What happened next was so quick, I can barely recall it. A black scythe with a purple tip sliced cleanly through the strings, dropping me to the floor. I couldn't see the figure clearly, my head painted every figure black. They seemed to disappear, which I thought would mean my freedom. Yet, it didn't. My heart cracked again. One more time, and I'll shatter...

Cory's POV-
I jolted up, glancing between the others. She's still out, was I imagining it? Katrina was in tears, knelt over Shelby, this may be a rare time of seeing her emotions truly crack. But, I needed to check. "Katrina, check her Kokana, now." "What?" She replied, caught off guard by my sudden demand. "Just do it." I replied. Her eyes lit a pale purple as everyone seemed to circle us. Katrina's face of horror was all I needed to confirm my suspicion. "What is it? What's going on?" Ross asked us, but now is not the time to answer questions. "We need to regain her consciousness before it's too late." She stated, her voice shaky in panic. Her eyes seemed to light up, yet, she seemed to be conflicted with her own idea. "I think I have an idea, but it's out there." She said. "Do whatever you think will help." I replied. Without another moment's hesitation, Katrina switched from purple to black. "Why not Life?" Alesa asked her, but she interrupted. "I'm draining it. Life and Death don't exactly mix well, so it's safer to drain it then heal her." She seemed to have finished, but she held us back. "Just in case I missed something or she's fragile, just stay back." She warned. After about thirty seconds, Shelby launched up. We all gave her space, just to make sure we wouldn't accidently hurt her. "Doing better?" Ross asked. "A little worse for wear, but I'm alright. Let's head back and do something calm." She suggested. We could use a break after all this. We started heading back, bouncing around ideas of what we could do when we got back. Katrina just grinned, here we go again...
