Ashlie's POV-
Sunbeams touched my blessed skin as we continued to our next challenge. I must say, I wasn't expecting to grace a man dressing and calling himself as a God. Nick, out of all people, just doesn't fit this kind of persona. "I am the holy beam of greatness, I flourish above you all, as a ruler to my kingdom of true peace." He boasted as he seemed to float above all of us. First, some sort of sunbeam. Now, the embodiment of a religious God?! We need to combat him with his true weakness. Which, by definition, should be self doubt and exile. After all, how can you seem high and mighty when you can't believe in yourself and get kicked to the curb? We may as well work with it, sense it's the only good idea I have for this. "Step aside ladies, if anyone can lift someone up and knock someone righteous to their feet, it's me." Shelby interrupted, surprising all of us as she cleared her throat, then spoke. "Nick! You know what you're doing isn't right! Get down here right now or I'll come up there and slap you around myself!" Her high pitched yet extremely threatening voice screamed. Nick came down, more curious than afraid to hear her out. "You think you're above all, mighty, and can fly above everyone here, but I think you're just a hypocrite trying to gain some attention for once! You know everyone here has taught you better than to be an enemy to us! You better switch back and help us right now, Nick, or so help me, I'm not baking you a single cookie for a month! You hear me?! A month!" Quick reminder, never encore Shelby's wrath. Ever. I had a feeling she wasn't being serious about all this, but any threat coming out of her mouth can gain some real meaning. Mortified but in self realization, Nick had returned to normal. "I can't have any cookies?" He asked her. "You can, I just needed a threat I could use to get you to stop." She replied, grinning, then walked away.
Ross's POV-
Just two more, two more, and this can end. I had a feeling who would be next, and my feelings were greatly justified. It was Max, as I suspected, but he was more like a person made up of every thought than just himself. Katrina spoke before anything could happen, not surprised. "Let me guess, we get questions, if we're wrong we die?" She asked him. "Indeed. You may be qualified for this. We shall see, won't we? Let us begin." He exclaimed, a monitor behind him displaying the questions. "If you get it right, you may attack me. If you don't, well..." He said, then laughed to himself. "How many apples grow on trees?" He asked. "Um, maybe twenty...?" Alesa suggested. But, in cruel fate, she was knocked down and became stuck to the floor. The stakes of this game were high. "All of them do!" He replied, then switched questions. "Which is the smallest place that could house the entire population standing side by side?" He asked. "Maybe... Texas?" Katrina responded. "Oh no, incorrect! The correct answer was New York City!" He sarcastically taunted, then she was bound up too. "Come on, just one question can save me! You poor things!" He continued to taunt. "Bring it on Max." I said, stepping up. "Oh, this will be dreadful." He said, pulling up the question. "A little girl kicks a soccer ball. It goes 10 feet and comes back to her. How is this possible?" He asked me. It took some thought, but I smiled as the answer came to mind. "She kicked it up." I replied. Just like that, the two bound up girls were free, and Max was back to his senses. "What are we waiting for? We need to get Cory!" He exclaimed, then we prepared. But, who would know...
...that he was already watching?
