Altaïr knew she was following him, he picked up her light footsteps in a few minutes. She's good for a little girl. Judging from her reflections, she looked around four or five. Altaïr turned around a corner and into an alleyway then hid. The child stood outside of the alleyway, staring at it instead of going in. Smart girl.

The girl only sat down, legs crossed, and waited patiently for Altaïr to remerge from the shadows. She didn't stand when she saw him leave the shadows, her e/c eyes followed his every movement. Altaïr approached the girl, she finally moved and is prepared to make a run for it.

                                               Altaïr offered her his hand.

"You seem like a smart girl, smart enough to join me and learn many secrets. You will have food, water, clothes, a bed, and a roof over your head. How about it?" The child scrunched her nose, staring at Altaïr's hand then back at him.

Her small hand clasped Altaïr's larger one.

~time skip~

"She's your literal shadow," Malik comments, "Wherever you go, she goes. Whatever you do, she copies. She's a literal copy of you." Altaïr cracked a smile.

"It's a surprise she managed to complete most of her training in a few months. Most novices wouldn't even be able to do that and they're all older than she is by seven or eight years, maybe even more and she's only four."

The said child wrapped her arms around Altaïr's leg, peering just a bit to look at Malik. Her e/c eyes are the only things that can be seen under the hood she wore.

"Come, little shadow. It's time you learn how to do the Leap." Altaïr told the child.

She scrambled to keep up with Altaïr's long strides by running after him.

Malik's lips quirked upwards then leans back into his seat.

"She's in good hands, Kadar. Your little dove is in good hands."

I'm sorry this is short. The storm raging outside my house isn't really helping me concentrate.
