"It's going to be okay, it's going to be okay," Y/n mumbled to Petruccio. "Your big sister is here. It's going to be okay. Mother and Father are going to find us, Federico is going to find us, Ezio is going to find us. It's going to be okay."

Petruccio sniffled and buried his face in Y/n's shoulder and flinched when he heard footsteps running across the hall from where he and Y/n are hiding.

"Wait here and don't come out unless it's Mother, Claudia, Ezio, or anyone else from our family," said Y/n. "I'm going to see if it's safe for us to come out."

Petruccio quickly tightened his grip on Y/n and Y/n had to pry his fingers off. Y/n ducked out of the small cupboard and looked around before shutting the cupboard door behind her.

As Y/n ducked behind a corner, a hand snatched the back of her dress.

"Well, well. We got another one!" A guard shouted, dragging Y/n to the middle of the courtyard.

"Father! Federico!" Y/n shouted.

Her father and and oldest brother are tied and gagged with swords at their necks. The guards started to drag the Auditore out of the courtyard and forced them in a wagon.

"What about Petruccio, sister?" Federico questioned Y/n.

"He's safe, he's hiding in a cupboard you and Ezio used to hide wine," Y/n told him. "Father, what's happening? Are we going to die?"

Giovani looked at his two children. His oldest son and youngest daughter are going to die because of his lack of action.

Ezio may be their only hope to survival.

"No. We don't die. We need to rely on Ezio now."

And unfortunately, despite Ezio doing everything his father told him to do, he sees his family hanging by their necks.

And Ezio buried them himself. He took a pendant hanging from Y/n's neck and tied it to his own before he filled her grave. He gave it to her on her seventh birthday and she hasn't taken it off ever since. Now, it is only a memory; a way for Ezio to honor his sister.

And he will not fail to avenge his family.

I know you said that I could do an alternative ending where Ezio's family lives, but I can't seem to think of any way how they survived. Sorry!
