Part 3 of Dark Times. I didn't really have anything to go with so this is a pretty short chapter. I also added a footnote so read till the end and I will explain.
"That Smith girl was right about one thing," Altaïr muttered. "This disorder does come and go."
"Unfortunately," Ezio sighed.
"And we worked so hard the first time," Jacob pouted.
"Does she even visit the cliff anymore?" Malik questioned.
"Not often," said Connor. "Sometimes."
"That's not very reassuring," said Jacob.
Everyone sighed in unison. This episode is worse than the other ones and every attempt hasn't worked.
Helena offered a solution but was turned down after she discovered that Y/n doesn't *self-harm.
"I suggest we all head out somewhere she enjoys," said Helena, shutting her book.
"To where exactly?" Jacob replied, eyeing the Korean-American.
"How should I know? I've been here for a month whilst you fools have been with her longer." Helena replied. "Excluding Connor. He's not a fool."
"So drag her off to somewhere?" Jacob suggested.
"That is if she is willing to move," said Ezio. "And I doubt she wants to."
Helena thought for a moment.
"Connor, can you come with me? I got an idea."
"What idea?" Malik questioned.
"Just put on a movie for Y/n until we come back." Helena told Malik.
She and Connor walked out through the front door and it shut.
"Maybe they're trying to get a kid or somethin'."
"Jacob!"
"What?"
~time skip~
Y/n snuggled closer to Arno's side, blankly watching the screen playing Annabelle.
She subtly heard the front door opening and footsteps approaching the room until the movie was put on pause.
She looked up and saw Connor and Helena. In Connor's hands was a puppy!
"Thought you needed a furry companion," Helena explained as Y/n took the puppy from Connor. "Connor knows more about animals than I do so I brought him along."
Y/n, for the first time, smiled.
"He's perfect."
Footnote time. So, the method that Helena suggested is called the Butterfly affect. I saw this on Instagram so it's not my idea originally but I thought it'd be a good idea to put this out through Wattpad too. So, the Butterfly affect. If you, or anyone you know, is self harming; draw a butterfly over the scar of where you cut. Right underneath the butterfly, write down a name of your loved one. It could be your best friend, it could be your mother, your father, your sister or brother etc. The butterfly(ies) are alive as long as you don't cut them. If you cut them, they are dead. The butterfly(ies) must naturally wash away, no scrubbing! By the time the butterfly(ies) have faded away it means they have lived and flown away giving you a sense of achievement. If you do self harm again, you can always draw another butterfly and try again. I hope this helps those who need it. See you in the next chapter!
