"Isn't your son dating Roger Craig Smith's daughter, Nolan?" Troy asked the older man on his left on the couch.
"Don't say that to Roger or he'll start swinging," Nolan warned. "He wasn't happy when he found out his only daughter is dating my son. Then again, they've known each other since they were kids so I'm surprised Roger wasn't happy."
Cooper (I think that's Nolan's son's name) and you have known each other once Assassin's Creed 2 production began. You often spent most of your time with, Julie, Nolan's wife, and their two boys while your dad was busy acting.
Since Cooper was a few months younger than you, you took that with pride and often bossed him and his younger brother around. So Cooper bullied you back when he had the chance. Now, school was a different story.
Whatever happens, you stick together. That was the one rule you and Cooper agreed on. And it worked throughout your years of knowing each other until Revelations was done. That was when you had to say goodbye to Cooper and Mike (Nolan's other son, I think).
You kept in touch with Cooper whenever you had the chance to talk to him until your dad gave you a phone. You and Cooper met briefly and took the chance to exchange numbers before departing your separate ways.
Once you and Cooper were fourteen, you started dating. Long distance of course. He lived in Boston while you lived in LA. Until you graduated from high school and got accepted into a theatrical school in New York. Cooper moved out of his parents' house and moved in with you after renting an apartment together.
Ever since then, it's heaven.
"They're engaged, I think," said Troy.
"THEY'RE WHAT?!"
Nolan whipped out his phone and went through his son's Instagram page. The newest post is you and Cooper standing by the beach. Your head on Cooper's shoulder and hand with the ring resting on Cooper's chest with a caption that said: "We're engaged!"
The first comment Nolan saw was from your dad.
"SAY WHAT?!"
