Requested by: no one"Daddy?" Y/n sniffled.
Y/n had lost her grip on her father in the middle of Times Square in New York.
Her grip tightened on the stuffed bunny in her arms as she looked around. Y/n whimpered, ducking and dodging from strangers. She stumbled towards the sidewalk, clinging to the walls of a building.
"Are you lost, little girl?"
Y/n looked up to see a woman, bent down to her level. Y/n nodded and the woman offered her hand to Y/n.
"Come on. I'll help you look for your parents."
Y/n stared at the woman's hand then at the woman. She remembered something her father and aunt Rebecca had told her.
"Remember, Y/n. Don't take any stranger's help, even if they look nice. They might be working for Abstergo."
Y/n shook her head, pressing her back against the wall.
"But you're lost," said the woman. "At least let me take you to the police station."
"Daddy said don't listen to strangers," Y/n mumbled, stepping away from the woman.
The woman sighed.
"I had hoped this wouldn't happen."
And Y/n's vision went black.
"There," said Rebecca, pointing at her screen. "That's the last time cameras saw her." Shaun peered over Rebecca's shoulder, watching as three strangers took Y/n away.
"Where did they go?" Shaun demanded.
"Searching," Rebecca mumbled. "Shaun, it's possible that they-"
"Don't finish that bloody sentence, Rebecca. We have to save her."
Rebecca turned to face Shaun.
"I know we do," said Rebecca. "Shaun, you have to remember, this Abstergo we're talking. They won't just let you waltz right in without consequences. We can't lose you too."
Shaun rubbed his temples with a heavy sigh.
"We have to try."
Y/n stirred awake, head pounding as she struggled to sit up. Her eyes finally readjusted and she realized she was in a van. Hands tied to her back, Y/n tugged. Tight and secure."Dammit. It's too soon," a voice grumbled. "The kid's still woozy, isn't she?"
Woozy? She's up and ready to throw hands!
The tips of Y/n's fingers felt something sharp behind her. Hooking her binds to the sharp object, Y/n started to saw her way through the rope.
"Woozy or not she-hey, wait! Holy shit!"
"I know, I know," said Shaun, tugging a coat on. "Jus-what the bloody hell?"Tugging his phone out, an unknown number was calling him. Shaun looked up at Rebecca, giving her a questioning look. He answered the call and pressed the phone to his ear.
"This is-"
"Daddy?" Shaun almost dropped his phone.
"Y/n?"
Y/n sat in the back of the van, curled up in her father's lap. She was about a hundred miles away from the border of New York.
Somehow, just somehow, she escaped. Apparently her captors weren't as slick as they had thought.
Literally, a five-year-old child was able to outsmart three adults!
"Daddy?"
"Mhm?"
Y/n snuggled closer to Shaun.
"You won't let go of me again, are you?"
Shaun scoffed, tucking her head under his chin.
"Never again, sweetheart."
"...I lost Mr. Snuggles."
"I'll get you a new one when we're safe. For now, you have me to snuggle with."
