"What is this?" Y/n asked, peering over an open crate.

"Fireworks, and colored dust by the looks of it," said Helena, peering over it too. "Come on, Y/n. It's dangerous to be around the fireworks." Helena took Y/n's hand and pulled her away from the crate.

"What are fireworks?" Y/n asked.

"Shoot it into the sky and colors and patterns will appear." Helena explained.

"Whoa!" Helena laughed.

"Yeah. Anyway, we need to find your father. He's probably talking to Faulkner."

"Okay!"

Pushing the wooden door open, Helena and Y/n entered the cabin of the Aquilla.

"Hallo!" Y/n greeted, releasing Helena's hand.

"Ha ah! Y/n!" Faulkner greeted, bending down to greet the girl. "How're you, kiddo?"

"Good!" Y/n replied, hugging the man's neck. "Hi, Papa."

"Hello, Y/n," said Connor, taking Y/n from Faulkner. "Helena." His wife nodded back as her reply.

"Papa, Papa. We have fireworks! And, and, and, um," Y/n stopped talking, pursing her lower lip. "Um."

"Colored dust," Helena finished Y/n's sentence. "You're not planning on sending it away, are you?" Connor shook his head.

"No. We caught some pirates along with slaves. We freed the slaves and found crates of fireworks and the dust."

"Can we see the fireworks?"

"Maybe later, Y/n."

"Please?"

"Haha!" Faulkner laughed. "Just set one or two off tonight. I'm sure that will sate her want to see it. I'm sure the community would enjoy it too."

Connor and Helena shared a look.

"Are you going to light it or should I?"

"You have a lighter on you, don't you?"

"You know me too well."

Helena leaned against Connor's side, watching the fireworks shoot into the sky

Helena leaned against Connor's side, watching the fireworks shoot into the sky.

Y/n gasped, watching the fireworks explode in the air.

Helena chuckled, leaning up to kiss Connor's cheek.

"Happy anniversary, love."

"Happy anniversary indeed."

I forgot how the colonists lit candles and lanterns so I apologize the improper use of "lighter".
