(Shawn's POV)

I woke up to bright sunlight streaming in through the tiny windows of the hospital room. Then I realized I was holding someone's hand. I looked over and saw Summer. I must have fallen asleep in her room. I didn't want to wake her up so I stayed as still as I could, but then she started to stir.

"Hey, how are your ribs?" I asked softly.

"How is your head?" She replied sleepily, rubbing her eyes.

"How's your head?" I asked back.

        "I asked first!"

        "Well technically I asked first."

She groaned but smiled. "I'm a lot better. Now you answer me."

"Same here." I smiled back. "I should probably go back to my room before the doctor finds out I'm missing, but I'll come back right after that and we can do whatever you want." I started to walk towards the door, but before I got there, it opened and Summer's doctor came in.

"What are you doing in here?" She asked once she noticed me.

I thought if the first excuse that came to mind. "I just wanted to... see if she got breakfast! I'm hungry," I said quickly. Really. That's the best you could do Shawn?

"I didn't see you come in here," she said suspiciously.

"I guess I'm just really quiet then." I shrugged my shoulders nervously.

"Alright. Well, you should get back to your room anyway." She held the door open for me and I walked out and down the hall to my room. That was close. Now to find out if anyone had noticed that I wasn't in my bed all night.

Lucky for me, my doctor hadn't checked on me so when he came in the morning I was already in my bed and eating the breakfast that I had ordered. Me and Summer both had to stay because of my concussion and her broken ribs. I was allowed to go back to her room, and we spent the day eating, her reading to me, and me playing her songs on my guitar. We couldn't watch tv because of my concussion, and I couldn't go outside because of my concussion, which really sucked. I couldn't even look at my phone because of my concussion! The hospital was a lot more boring than I thought. Oh, and also I had to wear sunglasses but Summer said they made me look hot so I was cool with that. I couldn't wait to get out of this place and be back to my normal life again. Except, with Summer as my girlfriend.

Hey, sorry this is kind of a filler chapter but i'll try to post another today or tomorrow! Thanks for reading! xx
