It Started With a Song [Shawn Mendes]

(Summer's POV)

The sun was going down and it was getting darker and darker outside. What was Shawn planning? And at the hospital? I walked up to the front desk and the nurse sitting there looked up.

"Are you Summer Casanova?" she asked tiredly.

"Yeah," I answered eagerly.

"This was left for you." She handed me a piece of paper and I frowned. Another clue? Really?

But then I read it.

There's a car that's on at the back of the parking lot.

Get in it.

Follow the directions.

Now this must be the last direction! This wild goose chase was almost over! I ran back out into the parking lot and immediately noticed a car with its lights on near the back of the almost empty parking lot. It was Shawn's Jeep. I guess now I knew for sure who was sending me these notes.

I got in the car, and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. The second thing I noticed was Shawn's phone clipped onto the air vent. It was on and the screen showed a note with basic directions on it. I shrugged my shoulders and turned on the engine.

I drove through town, taking lefts and rights wherever the note said. I kept trying to guess where it was taking me but my mind kept drawing a blank. Where am I going?

Suddenly I noticed that I was taking the last turn. I looked around, but it was hard to read the signs of the shops in the dark. They all looked closed anyway. Then, up ahead I saw a dim light. It was coming from somewhere inside the park. It was about the only place I could go now so I parked my car and started walking down the path. That's when I noticed that there were red rocks all over the ground. Wait, no. Not rocks, rose pedals. I slowly looked ahead down the path and saw that they kept going. I perked up. This must be the right place! I ran through the trees, following the path of scattered rose petals.

Then they stopped. I looked up and saw that I was at the bottom of a hill. But that's not why I gasped. I gasped at what was at the top of the hill.

It's almost finished!!!!!!!!!
