[Song for the chapter:
Yellow - coldplay]Freddie's P.O.V
Alex drops me off in front of my house, at last.
"Bye dude." He gives me a high five from his driver's seat.
"Bye." I high-five him back.
He drives off as I walk inside my house. I take my coat off and place it on the coat hanger. I hear the rain hitting on the roof. Wow, it was sunny outside when I came in.
I walk in the kitchen and pour myself a glass of orange juice. Mom and Dad are visiting my older brother, Jason.
As I take a sip of the juice, I hear the doorbell ring. I place my drink on the countertop and go to open the door.
I open the door to be greeted with icy blue eyes filled with tears, looking at me.
"I-I had no where else t-to go." Hayden stutters.
"Hey, It's okay come inside." I usher him in. I have no idea why he's here. But I don't think it's the right time to ask.
"I am s-sorry." His voice cracks, and I notice that he's wet from the rain and he's probably freezing.
"It's okay. Let me get you a blanket." Without hearing him out, I run upstairs and instead of a blanket, I take my over sized sweater and a fresh pair of jeans.
I walk down stairs to see him still sitting on my sofa in the same position.
"You can go and change." I say.
"No it's fine." He says.
"You're going to catch a cold."
I give him the clothes and show him to the washroom.
He locks the door and I walk back to the kitchen and make two cups of hot chocolate. I know I should kick him out, but I don't have the guts to be so cruel.
I take the cups of hot chocolate and place them in front of the sofa where he sat earlier. I hear him come out, and close the door behind him.
Hayden walks in the room and sits on the sofa, beside me.
"Thank you." He says, as I hand him the cup.
"It's fine." I say.
"No, really. Thank you for everything. For letting me in. And for the clothes. And the hot chocolate." Hayden gives me a weak smile.
"I don't really have any friends. So, I didn't have anywhere else to go." He whispers.
"What's wrong?" I ask, knowing very well that he won't tell me. Hayden gives me a sad look. "It's okay if you don't wanna-"
"No no. I have to tell someone. And I've talked to you more than I've talked to anyone. Actually I don't think I've talked to anyone else at all. And I trust you enough, I guess." Hayden whispers.
"I'm a great listener, you know." I state. He chuckles a little. God he's cute- wait- No.
"Ok, so when I was at the other school I came to a realization. You know it was an all boys school thing. I had a fling with a boy, I thought it was me just experimenting. But when I came back the feelings didn't go away. Instead it increased when I saw- a certain person." He takes a long breath. Now I'm realizing what this is. He's coming out. To me?
"So today, I thought I'd tell my parents. And I did. Let's just say they didn't react very well. They kinda- umm- threw me out. And I didn't know where to go and I came here."
