[Song for the chapter:
Milkshake - Kelis]Tori's P.O.V
"Hurry up, you're going to be late!" My mom passed me my bag.
"I'm going, I'm going."
Last night....when the actual stars came out, it was beautiful to say the least. It looked straight out of a movie. As it got darker, the lights of the tiny buildings far away shone even more brightly. And Nathan wasn't wrong to call them stars, the view in front of us looked a lot like the sky above us. I watched in awe as the sky and the buildings blended together, making it quite hard to find where the sky ended and the buildings began.
But unfortunately we couldn't stay there any longer otherwise we'd freeze to death. Nathan then dropped me off at my house and left. He had successfully made me forget all about Ian, I didn't think about him once after leaving the house.
The doorbell rang snapping me out of my thoughts. I open the door and Harper walks in.
"Wait, before you two leave, I made you sandwiches." My mom hands both of us a sandwhich wrapped in cling film.
"Thanks mom." I kiss her on the cheek and then we both leave.
"You look a bit dead." Harp says.
"That's because I barely got 3 hours of sleep. I had to stay up late finishing 3 fucking assignments." I say, taking a bite out of the sandwich.
"You had a whole week to complete all of them?" She says, not taking her eyes off the road.
"Eh, didn't feel like it."
She rolls her eyes, "Oh, and what did you want to say yesterday?"
"OH! THAT. Oh my god I totally forgot." I say, slightly rising from my seat.
I groan, "I don't wanna go to school." I lean against the window.
"Quit being dramatic and say it already."
And so I tell her the entire Ian thing, making her cringe about the situation I'm in.
"I don't think I can face him." I slur my words.
"It's fine, I'll hide you." She pats my shoulder.
I stay slumped against the seat the whole way to school.
"Head inside, I'll park the car and come back."
"Without you?" I raise my eyebrows, "Hell no."
"Ian won't see you, just go."
When I dont move an inch she sighs and drives away. I wait for her to come back and then we enter together.
I know I don't have first period with Ian so I drag Harp with me to class before the bell even rang, or without meeting the others.
We sit down side by side. The class is still relatively empty with only four-five people other than us.
Nat and Alex enter the class together and walk up to us.
"Why'd you two come straight to class?" Nat asks.
"Long story short, Ian likes Tori so she's trying to ignore him."
Nat gasps and Alex looks like he's taken aback.
"Whoa- when did that happen?" Alex asks, "wait, no, don't answer that. Jessica's waiting for me."
And then Alex walks to the front of the class and sits down with Jessica.
Nat doesn't sit down, instead she stands still looking at him.
