Ian's P.O.V
Driving through the streets to Tyler's house, all I could think about is how he's going to react.
Suddenly finding out that you left the love of your life for nothing? He loved her. She loved him. Just the world was against them. Sounds familiar.
Driving alone would've been worse, having Tori by my side felt comforting in a way.
Oh, and the guilt. The names I called Harper, the amount of time I insulted her while she was just being a good friend. We had such good days together and suddenly, poof, just like that it's gone. She was just starting to become one of my closest friends, and I did that to her. I owe her an apology. Just a normal apology won't work in this case. I have to do something else.
"Are you getting out?" Tori calls from beside me.
I didn't even notice we were here, I mean of course I did, I was driving.
"Y-yeah."
"Don't be nervous. He'll take it well-" She nods.
"You don't know that." I interrupt.
Without letting her speak, I go up to his door, and take a deep breath before ringing the doorbell. No, I'm not mad at Tori. I'm just frustrated.
"Are you mad at me?"
"No, as I said once, I'm not. I'm just frustrated."
"Of course." She nods again.
I proceed to ring the bell again, then again, and again until Tori stops me. What's taking him so long? I tap my foot against the wooden floor in a steady pace.
The door swings open and I see a confused looking Tyler in the other side.
"I was taking a dump," He smiles at me and Tori, "this better be important."
"It is." I walk past him inside his house and I hear them following behind me.
"What is it?"
"Is anyone home?"
"No, just me. Mom took Riley to her karate class, apparently she's doing well-"
"Ughh, we do not have time for this." I groan.
Normally, I'd hear whatever he has to say about his family, his school work and whatever. Right now, I just couldn't.
"What's wrong?" I see him exchange a look with Tori.
"She didn't cheat." I just let it out.
Tyler's head snaps from Tori's direction to mine, his face falls and he immediately covers it up.
"Wh-what do you mean? Who?" He gulps, running his hand through his hair.
"Harper." Both Tori and I say at the same time.
"What do you mean she didn't cheat? Are you saying this just because you're her friend?" He points his index finger at her.
"No, no, no-"
"Listen to me, Ty." I interrupt.
"What?" He snaps.
"She didn't cheat." I repeat.
"And how do you know that? We had the proof, she confessed. You were there with me. You helped me with it." Tyler breathes heavily.
"We know-" I start.
"Because I cheated. O-or I helped to cheat." Tori speaks.
"She was covering for Tori." I add.
"Wha-what? S-she did what-" Tyler mumbles something, and slumps down on the couch and rests his head on his hands.
